This is a great weekender van but deleting gas with a small battery / solar system like this is crazy! With only 400ah bank and 540w of solar you will be constantly chasing your tail to replenish the system…and that’s on a good day. If you have a week of average weather this van will be dead in the water. There is no where near enough battery bank and solar to delete gas. 👍🏼

Firstly, 3 x 180w equals 540w, not 720. With such small solar capacity it'll take a long time to replenish what you use running AC and induction cooking.

More fundamental questions need to be asked... Is LPG fit for purpose in a caravan? this van says no! but along those lines.... Is 12V fit for purpose in a caravan? There are better solutions, solutions built from the ground up, built for purpose and don't come with the many excuses these 12V systems come with. Running your AC is just the first excuse, but you will find many more as you dig in, running off to find 240v power or starting up that generator is so 2020. Manufacturers, why all the crap on the roof?? Lets start there, without all the crap you can fit 2.5kw of solar quite easily on a 23' van. With a canopy on my Silverardo I can also add another 1.2kw of solar.
