Thank you very much for the video. I will go to the US this month and decide whether to buy it or not. In fact, $200 is a relevant factor, but the product as a whole is very satisfactory, as you said, although some say that there may be some inconsistency. Greetings from Brazil !

What a great video this is, thank you… It would have definitely helped me to decide whether I want to order one or not. Anyway, I wanted to try it even though I was not able to find all the info I wanted to know. Now I have a personal experience and I can directly compare it with the Normcore V4 (with black titanium coating). Both are very good tampers, but I enjoy the precision and workflow of the Force tamper much more. I am very satisfied and although it is that expensive and not necessarily needed I would make that purchase again. 👍 👍 👍

Bomber tamper works as a torque wrench which you are the only one of the youtubers who seems to have understood, kudos. I would probably say that Bomber-like tampers work just as well as The force tampers with how accurate they are. I would have preferred Bomber to be 58.5 instead of 58.35, that's the only down side.

phiou thank god I understood, I went through all the documentation I could think of and also saw a video of how a NERF gun works that seemed similar in mechanics. Ya I would've gone for the BOMBER too but I need the 58.5

The Force was on my short list. I love all the options. The deal breaker is all the grounds that accumulate above the tamping plate. I'm going to go with the Bravo if they ever come back in stock in the US.

@@williamrowe7648 if you're a skilled at tamping and/or love it, it's fine otherwise I'd say the self-leveling is actually the MUST HAVE feature on a tamper, for me anyway. Self leveling + tight fit are the must haves, the rest is nice to haves.

I have it and I love it. But you should not overestimate the idea of always having the same force. Each Tamping-stamp starts with the same energy, but the reached tamping force strongly depends on how "hard" the coffee bad is. That is because of the idea of a constant Impact. Pretty shure, the dose plays a mayor role. And I would also belief, that grind size does. I just don't think any of it matters a lot and the Force is just so very satisfiing to use!!

@@Bowser558 suction cup effect on the see through basket I used doesn't mimic IRL 1:1 due to higher basket height and suction cup effect. The see through basket has no holes on the bottom whatsoever. On an espresso basket there are so some air can escape from there whereas here it has nowhere to go. Just a theory though but I don't feel the invisible basket gives the exact representation a true basket would. Including it's slick plastic VS the metal etc

I needed a new tamper that was 58.5 to fit my Weber Unibasket as my older ECM puck style was leaving crumbs on the sides of the basket so I bought the Force tamper after much deliberation. Glad I did. Would you not be concerned about buying knock-offs from Ali Express?
@GadgetsGearCoffee Жыл бұрын
I've purchased a lot of things off aliexpress and have had no issues so far. The same concern can be said about Amazon as it's a marketplace. It's all about making as informed decisions as you can. I have been using mine for several weeks and have no reason to believe it's a fake. If it's worth anything, I did reach out to the store before and they said they were a reseller of the force tamper and they have high rating as a store on their shop. They even reached out to me to ask if I wanted the newer silver logo version.

Same thing in a different way.. I do think you are enamored by the gadget though by your verbiage and self admission of espresso enthusiasts snobbery of the equipment.. Immediate compaction by an abrupt punch does not necessarily mean better flavor as you admit, but the gadget did win an award for innovativeness, but not quality outcome.. I think it's like the wavy puck smoothing tools that have been shown to be not valuable and in fact deterimental due to surface effect, and compaction. In metaphor, think of a swift boxers punch like a jab, vs a comparitively slow right cross that knocks people back. Anyways, it was nice conversing with you, and may the blessings of the universe befall you. @@GadgetsGearCoffee
