From a big rider fan: Kamen Rider was the origin of power rangers before it was even conceptualized, with the Super Sentai Series being created 4 years after. (Super Sentai is where Power Rangers usually takes its concepts and fight scenes from. It's considered the sister show to Super Sentai, which Power Rangers adapted and used footage from. It's a Tokusatsu shows, which employs a wide variety of digital and practical effects in its shows. This video is of the Heisei Riders, the shows from around 2000 to 2019. Super Sentai is the original source for Power Rangers that started in 1975, Kamen Rider is even older as it started in 1971 by the same creators( this video only has the openings for the 2000-2019 era of rider, otherwise called the "Heisei Era) , Kamen Rider is mostly targeted for older kids and teens while Sentai and Power Rangers are for the younger crowd,there were two attempts to bring the rider series to the west which was Saban's Masked Rider( so badly made it is best left forgotten to the sands of time and can be blamed for why Kamen Rider never truly caught in America like Power Rangers), and the more fondly remembered Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, that one was unfortunately cut short and not promoted well due to good old 4Kids, it did have an audience in Japan oddly enough.

The original power rangers are called Super Sentai. They come before Power Rangers. Power Rangers are based off Super Sentai. Kamen Riders are a whole separate series all together. They do occasionally crossover because they were created by the same people. Kamen Rider is usually about one person and not a team. You need to do some research before you even think that they are the same. It's an insult to every KAMEN RIDER SERIES there is. Never say that Kamen Riders are Power Rangers again. Power Rangers come nowhere close to Super Sentai of Kamen Rider.

Kamen rider Kiva (the vampire one) is my favorite series of the Heisei era. It switches between the present and the past and has a supernatural theme with the main hero's DRIVER (the belt) based on vampires and the secondary Kamen Rider having religious tones such as a cross theme. The soundtrack and story is really good Kamen Rider W (Double) is my 2nd favorite. Its a detective story with 2 people fusing to become a 2 in 1 Kamen Rider fighting against a Crime Organization

so basically: kamen rider kuuga is an ancient warrior fighting clans of monster that try to evolve and doing ritual called 'gegeru'. this series is not for child as most of the storyline is way to heavy for underage and for adult. that is my perception for watching it kamen rider agito has 3 kamen rider. main is agito the one that being chosen to become agito "one that has power to surpass the god", G3 is police unit that develop system and weapon to fight monster called Unknown. G3 user is the one who wish to become kamen rider to protect civilian and those who has power to become agito from the Unknown. the third one is called Gills which one who couldnt become agito but has power almost become one. kamen rider ryuki is a one that chosen fight for a wish. his rival kamen rider knight sometimes become enemy sometimes ally depend on the situation. the series itself is about battle royale and whoever win and become the last man standing will get their wish to become true. each kamen rider that fight in the mirror world has one contract card that bind a monster to make the kamen rider deck to gain power for fighting others. the dragon that you see is the contract monster for ryuki. kamen rider faiz is a system that being developed to annihilate creatures called orphenoch. the rider system itself cant be used by normal person and only those has already dead and ressurrected from death only can use them. kamen rider blade is a kamen rider belt that use monster that being sealed in the card and allowing the person that has rider belt to transform and fight monsters called undead. only Ace cards that can be used to transform like jack, spade, clover, heart. kamen rider hibiki is a person that train to control the power of Oni to fight other one. kamen rider kabuto is a rider system that being developed to fight against alien called worm. worm has power to mimic someone 100% and it is almost impossible to differentiate them when they mimic someone. kamen rider in this series has power called clock up which is able to move faster that nobody can see them just like worms kamen rider den o is a series of time travel. more to fixing past so that the current time will not collapse. kamen rider kiva is a series of monster called fangire aka vampire that will suck people life to become stronger. Kiva is one that will fight them and sometimes allying and going against, ixa the vampire hunter kamen rider decade is a prophecy one that destined to become destroyer. it is all about his journey to find his own world. the quote in the series "become any creation must come destruction" kamen rider double is a series of detective that solving mysteries of crime and mostly leading to monster that using gaia memory to gain power to cause destruction. double also using gaia memory that they have to become rider and save the day kamen rider OOO or Oz is a series of kamen rider that using set of medal to transform and fighting the monsters that also using medals to become stronger to destroy the world kamen rider fourze a series of young man enrolling into new school to make as many friend he wish and become kamen rider to defeat a secret association that making evil plan to destroy and conquer the world kamen rider wizard a series of kamen rider that based on theme of magics, sorcery to fight against magical creature. kamen rider gaim is a series of people that being infested by monsters from another world. certain fruit from the other world has the power that allow the user to transform intro kamen rider. kamen rider drive is a series about kamen rider that fighting monsters called roidmude. never watch it so i dont know how to explain further. kamen rider ghost is a series about MC becoming a rider and collecting spirits of legend and the enemy itself cant be defeated physically and the fight must taken a place when the Mc enter spiritual state kamen rider ex aid is a series about Mc as a doctor to save patient from virus called bugster. the virus is from game world and Mc must become kamen rider in game world to defeat the bugster. kamen rider build is a about scientist that develop rider system to fight monsters and also enemy during wars. the Mc is a genius that will develop new bottle to gain new powers to have advantage in fight kamen rider zi o is a series of an Mc being prophesied as demon lord and he wish not to follow the fate and try to become good king. 2ndary rider come from the future to stop him from becoming kamen rider so that the demon in future will disappear. technically if Mc never become kamen rider from beginning, the demon lord will never exist. so sometimes Mc and 2ndary kamen rider will clash with their own intention to change the outcome of the future. FYI these are the list of heisei riders and you might wanna check reiwa riders and their openings is even catching

This makes me so happy man.....I love when folks find out about Kamen Rider who were raised as longtime Power Ranger fans. I'll never forget being a little kid around the time Ninja Storm came out. I found this sketchy Japanese website that had clips of various Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Ultraman openings......My life was changed for ever. I've Loved Kamen Rider and Tokusatsu my whole life and didn't even know it. When you finally find Tokusatsu you realize how good we was eating in the US in the 90s. Saban was cooking!
