Some producer in america thought Super Sentai looked cool, but figured american audience was too close minded for a show featuring only non-american asian people. So they purchased the rights, kept the suits, robots and monsters, and removed anything japanese: an so Power Rangers was born.

@@GGX120true but sometimes not for the better I mean the biggest criticism people familiar with Sentai had with Samurai was how much it was a copy paste of the original Only it made no sense when they tried to translate the Japanese context regarding families that made the main character plot between the Red Leader and his actual role as a decoy Other cases where the near complete copy and paste of Gao for Wild Force Or the annoying over done case for the White Dino in Dino Thunder since in Sentai he was the main villain for most of the series so White Ranger translations between Good to Bad and back to Good like 5 times

Part of there success is usually actual bands and singers did the themes Especially so going into the 2000s Heck said singers and bands get cameos or decent roles in some series with some Toku heroes even doing the music themselves Though I’m more familiar with it in Kamen Rider, like how the main actor for Kiva has a band Tetrafang who did the opening and numerous other songs to his series Or Kamen Rider Skull whose the dead teacher of Kamen Rider W did his own song in the tv series and started in the crossover film between W and OOO Alongside having his own music video for his in series song

"How did Power Rangers get away with it Bruh," Okay. Bit of a history lesson. Haim Saban formed Saban Entertainment, he saw the potential for entertainment and toy sales from Japanese Live Action Special Effects Shows as an untapped Market in the West. Decades Earlier, during Black & White broadcasting era the Live Action Special Effects show Giant Robo was dubbed and released stateside as Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot, it had a mixed but memorable reception but in the 80's and 90's Saban had an idea. He would buy the License to only PART of the footage of the Annual Super Sentai series and dub it alongside additional reshoots. The rebranded and repackaged product of Power Rangers did VERY well in the west. For several seasons instead of following the Japanese model of each series being a new team he made a long form contiguous story until eventually each team became an independent entity in later iterations. Some series were ENTIRELY different from their source material. Some, involved a ton of shot for shot remakes in their out of costume scenes. Cosmic Fury is the first to do their own thing entirely, only shooting ten episodes using entirely original suits and only borrowing the mecha/vehicles from the Kyuranger series...which is sad because that was a fun looking space show with tons of aliens and robots among the assorted members of that large heroic cast.

Also to clarify, power rangers is an adaptation of super sentai. The corresponding seasons use the same suits, mech/zord design, and transformation devices, but generally the stories and characters are very different compared to their sentai counterpart. It's worth checking out the sentai version of your fav seasons to see how they differ, as well as checking out some seasons that haven't been adapted!

Kaizoku Sentai GoKaiger crossed over with Kamen Rider Fourz for example. In which GoKai Red, Captain Marvelous, demanded Kamen Rider Fourz's greatest treasure at gunpoint when they first met. Fourz declared his greatest treasure was friendship, which he freely offered.

Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are officially separate universes, the crossovers between them only due to time travel and dimension hopping shenanigans like with Decade and Shinkenger.

The crossover you're referring to is the movie Super Hero Taisen. It was an overall story of the Super Sentai and Kamen Riders wiping each other out, with Gokai Red and Decade initiating the war. (Yes, I am simplifying to not spoil the full plot.) There is even a little historical reference about the two series co-existence thrown in. To put it simply Power Rangers is an adaptation of Super Sentai for western audiences and PR uses suits and fight scenes from SS sometimes PR would shoot original fight footage and have original suits also some story lines from SS seasons are completely adapted or not used at all the only thing PR and SS have truly in common are suit designs and some fight scenes that’s it

Fun fact, as you noticed, the third season, Battle Fever J, has the first megazord/mecha of the entire franchise. The reason is that around the time that the season was being developed, Marvel and Toei (the company behind Super Sentai and Kamen Rider) brought Spider-Man to Japan in the form of Supaidaman and his transforming giant robot: Leopardon. Leopardon was created to appeal to Japanese kids, especially through the transforming toy, which saw a lot of success. After seeing how much kids loved Leopardon, Toei decided to include mechas in Super Sentai.

So little fun fact about the last sentai you saw: It's called Avataro Sentai Donbrothers and it's written by Toshiki Inoue who is known for being very unhinged, have dark humor and being as cursed as possible. Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger are what became the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series Season 1 was just basically taking Zyuranger action scenes and making up stories to tell with those action scenes and done pretty sloppily in the early episodes Season 2 took the Dairanger monsters, megazords and white ranger but kept the main 5 zyuranger suits and replaced the dairanger action fight scenes with new american scenes with zyuranger suits Season 3 took the Kakuranger monsters, megazords and Ninjor, plus a few of their main villains. Again shot new scenes with the zyuranger suits. The Kakuranger costumes made it into the show as the Alien Rangers after that they just went back to the season 1 method but with more consistent execution
