That leak in the front is the front differential to engine oil pan seals and axle seals and differential pumpkin seal itself. If you don't fix the leak, the front differential may fail costing you $4,000 or more. While you are there replace the electronic water pump and electronic thermostat as well of not done already. Only use genuine BMW parts.

Personally, I'd scan the stored fault memory & then pull the physical oil filter for a look - if the stored fault memory is jammed full, Hmm - if the oil filter element is stuffed full of large carbon particles/sparkly metals - or sludged so solid that you can't even see the filter element, walk. Loads are - the engines been neglected & will crap itself soon. I'd also get a finger onto the turbo vanes - pipe off, give the turbine a wiggle - if it wiggles, walk, because that's usually oil-starvation related (neglect) & while replacing the turbo is no big deal at all, it's a symptom of what the rest of the engine is like - worn & neglected. If the seller objects to you pulling bits off their car (lol, they often do..) then chances are they too know it's cream-crackered & don't want you knowing.

That BMW has been driven only and never maintained. From the dull oxidized paint finish to the major oil leaks in critical areas. The owner has been given previous knowledge to get rid of it..

The value of any used car is determined by price.... You didn't state the agreed purchase price. Given the bmw's age and mileage I'd expect repairs required by looking at the faded paint. If the owner didn't take care of the exterior and didn't bother to clean the interior prior to sale I'd expect neglected maintenance. This would be a great deal at the right price. Since the potential buyer didn't have the knowledge to inspect for himself, he's likely to depend on a mechanic for upkeep and maintenance. In that case I wouldn't suggest him to buy ANY used car this old with this mnay miles. All machines require maintenance! Not just BMW's.

Why ANYONE would buy a BMW in 2024 is just insane to me. Starting around the early 2000's BMW starting using plastics for all kinds of engine components - Waterpump propellors, coolant pipes internal to the engine and many others. They are plastic fantastic vehicles. After about 10 years, all these plastic parts start to fail and it will cost a fortune to bring the fix all that is needed to have a great running car. I would run away from this vehicle, NOT walk.
