I much prefer cutbait over live bait although I will try one live gill occasionally.

In my local lakes(Eastern,Ky) live bluegills work well, not my favorite but they are a primary food source for our cats.. Now in the river they do not work "as" well, my favorite baits by far are suckers and big creek chubs,, Thats in my waters anyway.. Have a good un'..

I definitely agree with that! They work better in our reservoirs that in our rivers as well
