I had an uncle and he used to love cat fishing many decades ago ,I’m 76 yrs old, and he said they would save the smaller bull frogs when they went frog gigging to use for catfish bait and it was great.

Yep this here Channel is One of my Favourite. Good Tips on Angling i figure those setups and rigs works world around . Havent tried fishing on chicken or pork not for real anyway . I use the picnic pork roasts. They're cheaper than the chops where I'm at and they're a lot more bloody. They also stand up to any small cats that'll usually shred your baits up. Also be warned, the gasper goo are fond of the pork roast too.

Michael what gets me is some of those smaller fish are perfect eaters. I know Dave has to make content but man some of the fish he throws back are good eaters. If I was going to spend the $$$ on pork chops I would keep a few and do a catch and cook. Pretty sure Dave doesn't like killing or cooking catfish. Man those chops looked good.
