58:00 people probably cheat towards the end to avoid mmr rollback and secure charms on accounts on accounts being boosted, because ubi delays bans it gives them a sort of end of season grace period. Side note, I’ve now made ~400 MMR back from cheater bans and have made Platinum 2 off that without playing ranked at all for months and still haven’t touched it again as of now. I only played 42 games in total and that’s just the cheaters who have been banned. I rarely call people a cheater and I had no idea I even played against so many, I had assumed I was just bad at the game for doing well one match and then getting absolutely dumpstered in another. Just to put the numbers 42 matches and ~400 MMR into perspective, definitely at least 5 and no less of my matches had confirmed and now banned cheaters. That means at least 11.9% of my ranked games had cheaters, those were the odds I had of getting cheaters when I was playing ranked in gold to low plat 3 level at that time. At least 11.9%. I’m in disbelief.

Really also depends on the headset. Mine got a mode called "superhuman hearing" and it boosts all the volume of background sounds. It made a big difference to the headsets I was using before.

I swear audio seems pretty inconsistent in this game. Sometimes I can hear the tiniest noises and other times I'll be oblivious. I don't have any friends on PC so I can't check this but I want to go into a custom match and see how far away you have to be to hear different noises. And while yes your headset does sort of matter, it doesn't really. I have $250 headphones so they will always be miles better than any gaming headset and I still can have trouble hearing certain noises, but as long as you have elevated highs/mids (not super bassy), you should be able to hear footsteps.

Iana is in a good place right now, but her G36C is losing the 2x. Twitch might be worth getting into because she has good primaries and her gadget is getting a slight buff. IQ has great guns, useful gadget, and is a 3 speed. On defense, Mozzie and Aruni have a great gun with the Roni, and Melusi has an all around useful kit. That's a few good ops in the meta right now. Gadget-wise you can't go wrong with Mute, Kaid, Wamai, Jackal, Nomad, or Sledge.
