Bro, you gotta get a DR350. I've owned a lot of bikes in my life including XR400, XR250, DRZ400, KLX300, KDX200, and the DR350 is my favorite by far. If you get one try to get the dirt only model, it has a Mikuni TM33 Pumper carb and it's a lot lighter than the duel sport. I've watched all of your videos more than twice, and I know you'll love the DR350.

@@ralphelliott9762 I have no doubt that the DR350 is a fine bike and that Gabe could make it sprout wings. I don't think it will survive 24hours of riding because of how much you're having to rev to go those speeds. I might be wrong but it seems like you'd really have to torture it to get it to go as fast as you want for that long. Still a bitchin bike. You did a great job.
@TortureTestMagazine4 жыл бұрын
I've got some tricks up my sleeve to try to get it to go 24 hours without a meltdown. It's still gonna take some luck though. Same as everyone else out there trying to make one bike survive the whole race. Three little things go wrong in the first hour and after eight more hours, two of those little things turn into big things lol
@JackAmnesiac4 жыл бұрын
@@TortureTestMagazine what I don't understand is, why never a higher displacement engine? Not for this particular round because of obvious budget concerns, but in general? Roughly twice the displacement means roughly half the number of revolutions per race, means half the amount of engine wear per race (at least that's what I expect, given that you only have to twist the throttle half way or so). Bear in mind I'm not a racer so I understand that there's a lot I don't know, but I've always wondered... The engines are bigger, more mass to have to wear through AND can be ran half as hard to achieve the same speeds. Is it just because you're committed to the little guys? You want to make the little underdog bikes shine even if it's harder on yourself?
