Just an FYI: The "Unconquered" reference on the FSU "Seminoles" rings is in tribute to the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the only indian tribe in the US that never surrendered to the US GOvernment. The Seminole tribe of Florida references unconquered in thier literature. FSU takes every opportunity to recognize the Seminole Tribe of Florida and provides financial aid to them. The giant bronze statute outside the stadium of Chief Oceola riding Renagade with a perputual flame on the spear is "The Unconquered Statue". Lastly, the Orange Bowl was a inconsequential "scrimmage" giving underclassmen an opportunity to play and get ready for the next year; over 35 players did not dress out for the game due to nagging injuries the need to get healty, many for the NFL combine.

Problem with splitting G5 and P5 is that many of the G5 schools paid millions of dollars in stadium upgrades to move into the FBS from FCS. Splitting the conferences would pull a lot of potential revenue from those programs. The point of having a G5 spot in the NY6/playoffs is to give smaller schools a chance to prove themselves for future recruiting purposes. No one believes that they are competing on the same level.

Georgia's freshes Vs their 3rd and 4th stringers. First half had mostly FSU 2nd and some 3rd team(you know this though) and after the first half they started to go with the 3rd and 4th stringers. In the 4th quarter it was probably more so Geo fresh and Nole fresh facing each other. I would expect Geo to have a sizeable advantage there.

Yes they 100% were. There has never been an undefeated power 5 team that was left out. They beat 2 sec teams including the one that had the Heisman trophy winner during the regular season. Won at Clemson. Won the ACC champ with a true freshman 3rd string qb and injuries all over the team. The bottom line the rumors were already swirling that saban was retiring and ESecPN was going to bend over backwards to get him in the playoffs. To get him and his overrated ‘23 team who lost at home and struggled against a horrible usf team and needed the miracles of miracles to beat a bad auburn team in they had to slip Texas in as well. This is BS. FSU did not go 13-0 to win the ACC. The ring should say 8-0 for a conference championship. FSU did not get screwed out of the championship anymore than Liberty. The Noles schedule was a joke and everyone knew it and they squeaked out several wins. If they had beaten UGA, (yeah right) you bet those rings would say 14-0. People want to say bowls mean nothing. Again. Had FSU not made the record books for the biggest whipping in history, we would be hearing all about that win and that it validated their position in the playoffs. Had fsu had any confidence in the game against UGA, their team would have rallied and played their best to make a point. But they knew they were greatly outmatched so they ran and hid so they could have an excuse for being brutalized on the field. Unconquered. Do the research on what that really means.
