Hedgehog is hérisson in french, niglo is the word in the french community of funfair people traveling with their attractions if I'm not mistaken on that last point.

Love Nigloland, have visited three times fom the UK. We were there at the end of August and the operations on Alpina Blitz was fantastic, mentioned it in our vlog. We emailed the park several weeks before attending requesting permission to film on rides with a GoPro but was disappointed to not even get a reply, but we are only a small channel. Really enjoy watching your vlogs, especially the European Parks.

I love Nigloland. I grew up next to this park, i saw it grow and becomming a beautiful family park. Its... weird, its french ok ? Old time french, even for us, but its fun. Its a relaxant gorgeous park, well done, clean. Dispatchs are fast and attractions are rarely out of order.

I always thought Efteling was the most scenic park in Europe. Nigloland is probably better in that regard and it looks very good. I've first heard of it when I watched an onride video of Manoir Hante, the entire park seems to be very promising.

Interesting collection of rides at this park🦔🇫🇷 Sorry about what happened during the first attempt at getting a POV of Alpina Blitz, but glad it worked out. Again, A for effort at your French speaking attempts, but it’s not quite right. I liked anyway😂👍🏻😊 If descente looked like descenté, then you’d be correct and would pronounce the e like an a so it’s des-cent like money cents. The name of the wild mouse definitely reminds me of the French verb descendre which translates to go down, which makes sense🐭 Beaucoup de pratique à fais parfait! Lots of practice makes perfect 😄

The sound -EN in French is nasal and does not exist in English. However, the final E is silent.

Niglo doesn't mean anything in french but I heard it apparently means hedgehog in roma or romani (gypsy) language. It's a tribute to their gypsy origin. I think it's quite interesting.

Looks like operations have gone down the drain. Haven't been there in about 4 years but i always enjoyed this park.and hope you had fun in Frais its lovely little park to spend a couple of hours.

I had similar experience with a ride op there, was particularly aggressive moving me around rows as a single rider and bitching about me in French unaware I could understand everything he was saying. Some guests were also pretty rude about what I was wearing. Left the park with a bit of a bad taste.

I really wish that theme parks in the US could take a page from some of these gorgeous theme parks in Europe. The US theme parks seem to be more about cramming as many rides into the space as possible rather than beautiful gardens and landscaping. There's very few that seem to put an emphasis on that. And you're going to start encountering more and more filming bans on rides in parks as time goes on. I just read a couple articles about how preventing filming on rides is becoming more and more prevalent and is eventually going to become the default in the future. These parks have had way too many issues with idiots filming on rides and dropping their cell phones or cameras. or people getting hit with cell phones or other loose objects on rides. More and more parks are implementing all out bans on filming on rides, even with go-pros with mounts, because they just don't want to take the chance of the thing not getting attached properly. From what I've read, the parks with the newer rides are going to be the first to make this policy the default, and the older parks are going to take longer to implement these policies. But eventually, most parks are probably going to completely ban filming on rides in the future. The idiots taking their cell phones on extreme rides, thinking that they can just hold onto the thing with their hand as they go through all the crazy G-forces and stuff, who then drop their phones are pretty much ruining it for everyone. You know how many damaged cell phones these parks have to retrieve every week from their rides? Even the gentle ones?
