Thx for the job I love this song Marco is an insane guitar player. His flow and articulation are unique. His sound is so clear and sharp. His melody is mindblowing and his technique always serve the music. His last album Ooglyworld is a master piece.

Yes, in some ways Marco is better because he's built & improved upon the previous guitarists that came before such as Petrucci, Neal Schon, Van Halen, Vai, and Satriani. He has a very tasty sense of balancing melody and shredding. Thanks for post this transcription.

No he is not. Doesn't have any critically acclaim albums or grammy to be included in any conversation with Petrucci. What he is though is another good guitarist that is incapable of creating any music that can crack billboard 300 much less 100. I wonder if we will ever see a technically gifted guitarist with chops for days that is capable of being more than that and will move on to grace our presence with a string of #1 thru #10 hits and a couple of grammys.🙏🏾

I personally think that grammy or albums reception are not good arguments for this question. Petrucci is certainly more renowned globally, he's a guitar hero and inspired many. So, he highly benefits from his reputation with Dream Theater for his solo albums, even tho they are very good already. Marco on the other hand is way less known but when it comes to technique, virtuosity and feel, they sit on the same table in my opinion.
