The diamond shaped shields on the elites are the original concept shields from the first Halo tech demo (E3?). They were scrapped along with the original marathon-inspired armour, wildlife, a bunch of enemies, etc. Now I feel old.

I don't get why AAA game devs don't just add what players want. I know the end goal is $$$ but you will keep sales going on your in game marketplace and actual game sales by having stuff people actually want to play. I get that on a larger scale you have to be careful with game balancing. I can think of tons of "easy" to add game modes that wouldn't require heavy development by AAA standards. Modders are out here making insane game modes in a month as a one or two person group. Obviously they don't have the polish of an actual dev made item or map or whatever but they are still fun.

i know it's mostly a joke hiring the modder will not really help anything. 343 already has great artists, and designers. it's just that it's let down by terrible leadership, an management. for a good example the promethean weapons in 4. they were originally vastly different from the unsc guns, but the director thought they would to unrelatible. so they got changed into both functioning, and resembling the human weaponry. that is also the reason for the plasma rifle being replaced by the storm rifle. sadly the game's are still being made like this ever since then. remember the original trailer for infinite. all of that was planned, but never made it in, because the development kept being reset since it was not good enough for the people in charge

This is why we NEED mod support for the xboz version. I have MCC on xbox and can't get it on PC, or at least certain Halo games. Playing it on Xbox co-op with my friends at their place with these mods would bring more people back to MCC.

More developers and publishers should allow for mod support. It can be used to help support the game after publishers decide it's no longer economically viable to keep supporting the game. Modders can fix things and Devs can implement it into the base game. There was this game I can't quite remember what it was but the Devs actually implemented certain mods into the base game. Ssethtzeentach covered it a while ago.

Most games are designed with profit in mind and can be discarded once a projection in a boardroom is met. Modders would negate selling of DLCs since the company isn’t the only one to control the flow of new content. I think it’s intentional that most games don’t bother with mod support.

i will forever miss the credit system reach and black ops 1 had i loved being able to wager my credits in hopes of doubling it made the game so much more intense. ranking systems are cool if done right but these battle passes suck obviously its for money but they fail to realize if you have a great game with great customization and have a store involved people are going to spend money but when u make the store the main focus they loose out on a lot of money. i think we all get what im trying to say with that statement, i was talking to an older guy at work about games and he said he hasnt played games in the last 15 years and i told him he hasnt really missed out on anything since the generation change. 360 to xbox one was the end of good games to me there were few cool ones but i cant tell u the last time i bought an xbox one game and played it for more than few months i wish we could go back man.

Steam Workshop support was the best thing to keep a great game alive! After Infinite bombed I was all Halo out for over half a year. With the new games not meeting my expectations and the old games being well old.... There is only so much nostalgia can do to keep a great game alive. So thank you for bringing this mod to my attention.

Some of the weapons really break the immersion since some of them weren't around when reach was falling. Hopefully the mod let's you pick which weapons you include. The commando is too op for reach

Halo infinite should have ever single weapon from every halo game. Maybe not all at the same time, but imagine if each season switched all the weapons, the Reach themed season had reach weapons, the upcoming mirage season had weapons that spartan 3s would use, an ODST season with odst weapons. Infinite could and should have been the best game of the decade... sad it isn't.
