I bought this 3d mat. Been using it for about 2 weeks now. Lays flat and doesn’t hurt hands or wrists. More accurate readings vs Divot strip I’ve been using. Great purchase from Bullseye Golf. Thanks for your video…

Great video. I like how u present the products in review. Very informative. Keep up the great work. Also, please note that the bullseye website doesn't have the 3d mat you showcase on your video, the one they advertise is a soft version similar to the fiberbuild grass version

Great review. I ordered a 3d 12x30 hitting strip on your recommendation.. Rick at Bullseye highly recommended this mat if your sim is used everyday. This mat will be replacing my Carls Place hitting strip which is wearing out in the hitting area. It has a belly or worn spot and the ball moves to much.Hopefully this gives great relief from tendinitis…

Aloha Golf Nerd, I just ordered the 3D mat from Bullseye (in Canada). When ordering online, I mentioned that I heard about the mat from you. Can't wait to try it out. I'm using Carl's Place Hot Shot 1.75" thick mat, but I found their hitting strip to be a little grabby. The Bullseye 3D mat is 1.5" like you said but I can find something to get it to the right height. The main thing was I needed the 12" x 30" size! Thanks for the review!!

Well thank you very much for mentioning me to Bullseye! That’s very considerate. Really hope the hitting strip meets your needs. I still use and love mine. I personally think it’s the best option available, or at least of the ones I’ve tried.

That is synthetic turf international NP45. A little pricey but I highly recommend it.

For mat, would you recommwnd the bullseye champion, soft strike or 3D hitting mat as all around general hiring mat? Thanks!

I’d recommend the 3D Mat, you might like the increased foam on the bottom of the Indoor Golf version for a slightly softer feel.

@TheGolfNerd3 ай бұрын
@@jerrywbissey1797 first off I’m sorry I missed the question! Second, I really like the 3d option. I haven’t gotten tendonitis from using it and I really like the feel. It’s miles better that ez tee hybrid, but that’s my preference and yours may vary. Not trying to cover my butt, but these feelings can be very personal. Regardless, it’s great for joint health. Mike

When will you do the follow up video for Monster Mat? Curious but if the residues really go away and if you had any aches or pains (injury) from using it?

If you look at the description on the Monster Mat video, I linked to a brief follow up on the mat after using for awhile. There’s some history here and as a result I didn’t post it directly to KZbin. Thanks for reaching out!!!

Just wondering, have you ever tried a divot action strip? The gungho or a homemade one? I’d be curious how they compare. I assumed the soft strike strip would be the thing for me, but it grabbed the face of my club too much and it’s a little jarring. So I’m trying to decide between this and making my own divot action.
@TheGolfNerd10 ай бұрын
I’m sorry I can’t comment on the divot evasion. As I’ve never hit one.. what I’ve heard from other golfers is they work well but have a tendency to wear out a little faster. Thanks for reaching out!! Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!!

Hi, complete beginner here but still want to set up reasonable quality setup in backyardd. Would you be make video or recommendations on setting up outdoor net with the 3d mat (since I some you like it better than the ez-tee!) ie what size mat, use strip? Thanks
@TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
For size I’d recommend 5’x5’, unless you use it in left/right play. Then I’d go 4x10.

Great video! What mat are you standing on and do you have a pad underneath it? Where did you purchase it? Did you cut out a section of this mat to fit the hitting strip? Does the strip move when hitting shots? Any thoughts on using a strip vs a full mat that you can stand on as well as hit off? How do you putt? Do you have to move your simulator when you want to putt? Sorry for all the questions. I have a nice hitting screen so my next step is the mat.
@TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
Man, that’s a lot of questions! Lol!! You can find most of this material in other videos that I have posted if you want more details. I have 5/8 inch thick EVA foam underneath NP 45 putting turf this is available through simturf.com. I did cut a section out for the hitting strip. You can find a specific video showing how I did this. The hitting strip does not move around while I’m using the sim. I use a Mevo plus as my launch monitor and putt slightly closer and off to the right hand side of the hitting strip. This has proven to be the most successful method. I do not have to move my simulator or launch monitor when I am putting this is one of the nice things about the Mevo plus. Hope this helps, thanks for reaching out!

I have an issue with golfer's elbow. Do you think the Soft Strike is easier on the joints than the 3D? The 3D with the shock absorber "looks" like it will be more forgiving. This will be attempt #5 on a hitting mat. Thanks.
@TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
I am also very prone to tendonitis, the 3D has been the best product for me, as the club heads really seems to glide through impact. I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you but I’ve enjoyed it. Hope that helps!

how does this handle short chip shots? I have heard that some mats the ball sits up almost as if it is teed up slightly. Thus making chips feel strange due to the club not sliding across the ground as it would out on the course. Thanks for the info!!
@TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
I really like the way this hitting strip feels with irons. It’s by far my favorite surface for full shots and pitches/chips. My only hesitation is how firm it is, I really like the feel but as I discussed on the video, some folks may prefer something softer. To me the club just glides through, which I really like.

@@johnathonwoolsey8163 I think it is. In fact, I’d say the original bullseye hitting strip, the neon green one, is also easier on the body. @TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
I haven’t hit the Sigpro softy. This product is the same as the Sigpro 3D. I really like this product but cannot draw comparisons to the softy. I will say that the Sigpro line is quite thick and won’t accommodate typical turf thicknesses. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!!

I prefer the Bullseye 3D, but you may want to watch my video because it may not be for everyone. Having said that, it’s much less money for the Sigpro. I think the Sigpro is better at injury prevention, so if that’s your priority, then it would be my first choice. Hope that helps!

Hi Mike, I have been playing with an EZ-tee Hybrid strip after going cheap at first with a GoSports that destroyed my elbow. I have been better since, but still on and off feeling pain, probably because I practice a lot. I was considering the grass option of Fiberbuilt, even though they refuse to sell their 1x4 strip and even with everyone saying that it is unrealistic... So, for someone desperate to stop taking a toll on his body, what is the second most forgiving strip you would suggest?
@TheGolfNerd Жыл бұрын
When you say second most forgiving, I’m not sure which product you are suggesting is at the top of the list! Anyway, I think the original lime green bullseye mat works very well and I never had any pains from it. Having said that, I’m not sure if he is going to continue to offer it. The product featured in this video is also very good and never caused me any pain. The only reason I moved from the lime green bullseye to this is I honestly like the feel of this better. However, Rick at Bullseye said he thought this product was too firm. So there’s some preference issues coming into play. I am not a big fan of Fiberbuilt. I feel like their products are overly expensive and I really did not like their grass series. So those would be my thoughts. Hope you found this helpful and if I can help further, please let me know!! Mike
