This is an excellent overview of the Fiberbuilt products. I would love to see you go in this depth with the SigPro mats as well.

2 things I notice, my elbow doesn’t hurt because there is some give with the hitting strip. Second, when I hit at the range before a round, I notice myself getting away with fat shots because of how firm those mats are which bounce the club back up to the ball. The fiberbuilt is great because the hitting strip has give like real grass.

I have had the Country Club Elite golf mat since 2019 and like it. It sits out side and looks like new and doesn’t show its usage. It’s the best on the market. The price point is high, but you get what you pay for

A couple things just to note. Not taking tee's is fine, Bir-tee solves that problem and offers a much better experience. We also have to get rid of the constant focus on "doesn't feel like real grass" from the peanut gallery, of course it doesn't. Mats are so darn important for heavily used indoor setups. Fiberbuilt is going about it right with the focus on taking away the force to protect joints, which is precisely what is happening when you take a divot outside. It's a breaking mechanism. And lastly, for those of you with significant joint issues, give a coach a call and you'll be surprised what correct swing mechanics can solve. A hitting mat with a large price tag helps for sure, but it won't solve joint issues.

You can also build a hitting strip with plexiglass. It will help with shock absorption. Very cheap option if you dont have the money for these mats.

Great video! Where did you get the putting green matt with fringe? I'd love to add that to my sim build!!

The Fiberbuilt with the gel pad is exactly how you guys describe it. Question: what enclosure and screen are you using / recommend without space restrictions?

As fast as this industry is growing, I'm surprised that very little mats have rough and sand add-ons or attachments. Are these types of mats not available? Can you do reviews on these for a more immersive sim?

For the grass one, is it possible to add another strip of grass and make it a wider grass/hitting area?

SigPro Softy by The Indoor Golf Shop is the best hitting mat on the market

Have been hitting 100 shots a day off a Softy since May. I love it and would also recommend it over what I am seeing in this video.

I had the Softy for over three months. I did not like it at all. The hitting strip sounded terrible and the platform that you stood on started to cave in as it’s too soft in my opinion causing the ball to lie higher than your feet. All good if we are at the course but at home…not ideal in my opinion. I switched over to the player preferred mat. What a huge diff In sound and sturdiness. The entire base is solid!

Can’t you just add padding or cushion underneath like gym mats?

@golficity. Any chance at a giveaway for the mats you aren’t using? I’m looking to build a small home setup using a net and the rapsodo mlm I won as a door prize a few years back with you guys. I’m localish in north jersey. Thanks for the great content! Cheers boys!

Do you always dress in the shorts, polo, baseball cap golfing uniform? Like all year? Whatever the situation? Do you rock up to a wedding in that? Jokes ... this whole golfing uniform does amuse me tho ...
