As a teen in the '80's I can tell you that is absolutely period correct!

I had an 81 CJ7 with a Chevy 350 built with 33 inch tires and it was the most fun I've ever had in a vehicle!!! It would smoke Mustang GTs.. Lol

Back in ‘83 or ‘84 my sister had a ‘71 CJ5 that had a six inch spring lift and 35” bloggers. And it was the same color orange. It had a four cyl engine and only went fifty mph but it was cute. I think she bought it to piss mom off! Sadly some girl in a Chevy Malibu pulled out in front of her and my sister used the trunk for a ramp, a complete barrel roll back on her wheels. Totaled the Jeep and she had a bruise from the seatbelt.

I had no clue you had the rx7, not only do I have a 46 cj2a, but I also have a built 94 turbo red miata with way too much money into it also. I’m excited for this content.

That's awesome, my buddy with a Miata got me into turbo cars. I have a few vids of the RX7 on here, and will have more in about 2 months after the dyno tune

Run ethanol and 2 stroke oil additive on that rotary the ethanol prevents carbon build up on the rotor and the 2 stroke additive lubricates the apex seal

Looks late 70s/80s Build Probably an old Advance Adapter, Muncie m20 to dana 18 kit used. If the engine had the long water pump on it may be why the firewall is so far back or could be weight distribution if it was raced. My Dad was mounting steering boxes in front behind the bumper on the willy's jeeps 2a and 3a years before jeep ever started to mount them in front. Keep up the videos good job.

My early 46 has some of these features they had the tool mounts you pointed out as well as chain driven l134 flathead 4 instead of the gear driven engine used in later cj2a models as well as a 3 on the tree shifter before they changed back to the floor shifter like the ww2 models so it is kind of unfortunate someone did this to such a rare early model civilian Jeep but is very cool I love my 46 it’s a great little off-roader
