Neat. I have the airless but rarely use it as the resin I use degases anyway, but for bigger things like spheres and pyramids I do. This new kit is a great idea, a lot more affordable for most people and looks like it does the job very well. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for this video! I got the original and it came with a learning curve (like how high to fill the cup). I couldn't figure out why it took so long, more than half of the total working time, to mostly de-gas. It's because I'm experimenting with a thick resin. Makes so much sense. As to the new gadget, I get the ease of use in having only one option and using medium to thin resin for the best results ... however, for $10 US you can get a coffee cup warmer. Put a full cup of that of thick resin on the warmer and you've got a bubble-free resin in half the time. Yes, it's warmer by a bit, so yes, it decreases the working time. but do you really need that time if you're using molds? Resin painting, sure, or blooms, feathers, or Petri, sure ... but not for molds. In my experience, save your money on either and get a coffee warmer if you only use molds. However, the machine comes in handy if you're painting or doing blooms, etc.

Please note: thicker resin (I'm talking Shabebe brand) can flash cure in 5 to 10 minutes if you warm it like this, I've had it happen when i used that brand. Please only warm your resin bottles separately before mixing, unless you are sure that heat will not cause a flash curing. I wasted ounces of resin before I found out.

I'm glad it worked for you Steve. I didn't have such luck with the one I bought. It was the original one, used it with ArtResin - which is medium viscosity, and it didn't work at all. Actually seemed to make more bubbles and when I let the air back in, it just got frothy. And using the machine cuts down the working time of the resin so it's not great if you are trying to resin something a bit larger than jewellery. I have seen others say the same. But then some love it. No idea why it works well for some people, but not others. I had such high hopes!

🇨🇦👋 Hello - Thank you for the great, great Resin de bubbler machine! Purchased mine and had it rated as junk 👎 BUT with your step-by-step how to, I truly now see that I had done it all wrong. Also thank you for the tip on the Big Wipe … have it in my wish list. It is considerably more expensive here. Thank you for all the tutorials. ❤

Hi Steve, Thank you for the tutorial on Resiners Degasser Machine. Very interest in getting one however, I am in Canada and would love to see a Canadian link to purchase this product and all the other products that you use in your videos. I am not into paying currency exchange and high shipping rates for the US or UK. Thank you... Cheers.

Yeah nah, worked in resin for over 6 years now. I got my pressure pot and a compressor cheaper then that little thing is, $40 for the pot from harbor freight, $3 for the ball valve to add to it and then $25 for the pancake compressor (that has sense been replaced with one MUCH quieter). Yet this thing you are showing started out at almost $300 when it first came out on amazon, and has slowly lowered in price sense as no one was getting it and it got low reviews. I also would not recommend it as guess where ALL the resin fumes go as it's trying to suck out the air? Yep into your space, and it still only works as a vacuum chamber, another thing you can get far cheaper then that thing and with that you can run a vent or just have the vacuum pump by a window while the pot stays by your work. My own was like $80 something, that's with the whole setup and I only use it for stuff that either can't fit inside my pressure pot or can't go in, like my tumbler cups that need to stay on its cup turner. But with all those the molds are flat and thin so a vacuum chamber works fine. But it does nothing for bubbles added by pouring into deeper molds. You will still have bubbles that way so a pressure pot is still recommended, plus it helps get the resin into every nook inside the molds. That is why all professional resin crafters use a pressure pot. 100% of bubbles gone.

Totally agree! This vacuum chamber is way too expensive and can cause your resin to bubble all over the place. I don’t know why everyone is trying to sell this thing. A pressure pot is the way to go.

Load up a video on that, please. I'm looking at pressure pots. But as a master food preserver, I have several pressure canners I can convert. I hope that makes sense. I just had surgery last week and managed to slip and fall right after 😢

@@VickyCooksalotI think with the right fittings you can convert a pressure canning chamber. I hope you will be healthy soon, and happy crafting and good health to you and your loved ones.

Good point on where the resin fumes go! Glad you pointed that out. 👍👍 One argument: air bubbles are not "gone" using a pressure pot. They are super-compressed, but DO remain. The poured resin MUST stay in the chamber until it's cured, or the bubbles WILL reappear.
@TAiiNE
@TAiiNE 10 ай бұрын
@@fairyspunfibers9098 Well yeah, that is the norm. You keep the resin in the pressure pot until it's cured as it shrinks the bubbles to microscopic levels. That is the point of a pressure pot :P There are inserts to give it shelves to stack more works onto if needed. And as said, if a mold or something don't fit inside due to being too long or such, that's where the vacuum chamber comes into play. But mine, just a standard cheep one I can set the pump by a window and have the pot stay on my craft table, a tube connects them and bam. You can't do that with this resiners degasser. The only down side with the vacuum is you re-add bubbles as you pour the resin, thankfully all my 'too big' molds are rather flat, and my tumber cups resin goes on in a thin enough coat a torch can pop most that end up added.

I just saw the new debubbler the other night. It's a lot more affordable. Though I still might go for the big one that's like the pressure pot. But this is very tempting.

Wish they gave a refund or upgrade credit to the original since it’s so new. Obviously it doesn’t work well - only on low viscosity with usually degasses just fine on its own. I can’t see giving this company more money for another product that doesn’t work great.

They should have put the release gasket in the front to prevent any fumbles that might cause your resin inside to fall over and spill.

I just tried mine and when it was done there was a layer of bubbles in the top so i let all of the air out and turned it on again by the time it was done it was pretty much a soild layer of bubbles with just a tiny bit of resin underneath. What in the world happened?!
