I see Chick-fil-A is gone. By the way, past that wall down that same hallway, across from Touchdown Gifts, the Fun-N-Games arcade used to be at the end of that hallway. It was in the last building on the right. It was before they put that wall there. I miss that arcade. By the way, the anchor building where you said Jillians, that was Dillards, not Jillians. Jillians was at the Sears end of the mall.

Hi Jim, !!!WOW ~ WEE!!! So much has changed! I haven't been to Our Mall in awhile 😮. I had no idea that it's barely utilized by customers. I could honestly say l haven't walked through in quite a long time and didn't realize it changed so much! I would like to mention a few things you didn't mention and you might not know because you are a little younger than me and didn't see it happening. ~ Before the mall went on that corner it was a huge valley. Looking down into that valley was a picturesque view of flowing, rich green grass that seemed to go on forever with a little white church in its hollow. The memory l have as a child born in 1964 is that there was a huge problem concerning the demolition of that church. They decided instead of demolishing the church to move it, which was a big deal. Besides us, it seemed like the whole town came together to watch this moving process happen. To me, it was amazing to see the church put on a trailer and pulled East on RT 224!!! Hence, the church that's in Boardman Park that's now mostly used for wedding ceremonies. ~ l also remember a couple years later an addition was added to the mall and it housed the Joseph Hornes store. ~ There was a movie theater where many of first saw the movie "Jaws"! ~ Top of line, high end woman's & girl's clothing was found in "Livingston's". ~ Another big deal was to eat at the restaurant which you mentioned. The store at that time was called Strouss'. ~ For hip or on the edge clothing, the store to go to was The Merry - Go - Round. ~ To buy music there was, ??? National Record Mark ???. ~ Frederick's was the go to for sexy lingerie (push-ups with foam falsies, bras with cutouts for nipples to protrude, crotchless panties, extremely risque street clothes, plus more. ~ l can go on and on with this list

That would be me driving the train.🚂. My wife and I are both retired from education and moved to Boardman from Tennessee. One morning just walking around the mall I noticed that they needed a driver for the train, I applied and was hired. Just what I wanted a part time job that I could interact with the people because that’s what I miss the most from teaching. Thanks for the video 👍

That is wonderful! I am always delighted to find other transplants in town. I moved to Boardman from Orlando, Florida roughly a year and a half ago. The MUCH lower cost of living was a major drawing point for me. I am a young woman but legally disabled. I was able to purchase a lovely Home outright in Cash but similar to you took some very part time work in order to occasionally get out of the House and interact with some nice people. Tennessee is a place I would Love to visit! 🖤
