Well that is channel dependent. Some have "pre-rolls" where the ads shows up at the the start, while others turn that off, but they play during the stream instead. It's up to each creator to decide what happens. The only way to avoid that is to Subscribe to that channel, or get Twitch Turbo to cover the entire site. (Which can be worth it if you watch multiple streams over there.)

As someone who is a Twitch user, by that I mean I use it almost everyday, watching ppl I do not have a paid subscription to is awful. Just 5 straight minutes of ads before I can even watch a stream, which has turned me away from watching ppl I don’t have a sub to. The amount of your streams I have watched live and through VODS have sky rocketed now that you stream on YT. I’m so glad you’re continuing to do YT streams.

I'm glad it is working. I usually can't watch the streams live, so having the VoDs on YT has been amazing. It hasn't impacted how I watch the edited content either. Even if it is something I've seen (Death Mobile for example), I still find it enjoyable.

I very much appreciate this change. I only have phones to watch things. On Twitch, my battery gets DRAINED and leaves me ditching the stream for an hour+. Like this, i can watch streams without much worry. No long ad breaks during tense moments is a definite plus too.

around 10 years ago when destiny came out, I couldn't understand why I couldn't get into watching streams live. in 2020 with the rise of vtubers I realized it was convenience. I liked watching streams on my phone, but even with the latest and greatest phone Twitchs app always made my phone hot after like, 20 minutes. it was also completely separate from KZbin. different account, different format, different follow list, etc. KZbin is just so much easier, smoother, and convenient. some of the twitch streamers I used to follow that now multi stream, I actually watch now. I love that KZbin is getting more attention as a streaming platform, and appreciate creators taking the plunge

The DMCA „problem“ for KZbin is just the fact that Twitch never got in hot waters yet. KZbin was nearly dead because a lawsuit in 2008 threatened them. Twitch will get it sometime in the coming years and it will be completely balanced.

I'm extremely happy that you’ve been streaming on KZbin now after all of these years. I just don’t think Twitch is worth paying for with how little I use that platform, so that leads to suffering through multiple ads way too often while watching you there. Here on KZbin I can watch you ad free and actually enjoy the “live” aspect of your livestreams. @wendellstephens6311 no, just usually the songs the editor chooses have 1:30-ish loop, so the same 15 second sound for 2 minutes can be fine, but not for 8. I make videos with background music, and finding the right songs to fit the mood and timing is crucial. This is just obnoxious because I know his editor uses a good variety.

One of my biggest issues with streaming a multi-stream is the difference in video quality because the bitrate difference is astronomical. Twitch limits unpartnered streamers to a bitrate of 6000 kbps meanwhile KZbin allows for a bitrate upwards of 51,000 to 85,000 kbps, Yet for some reason the bitrate for KZbin makes streams look absolutely horrid and borderline unwatchable meanwhile it looks amazing on twitch. After testing multiple settings for days, I still cant get multi-stream settings on youtube to look HALF as good as it does on Twitch and my internet is pretty decent to do both as well as my rig but still no luck. I wish I new what software max uses to multi-stream unless its restreamio

The experience of watching streams on twitch has degraded so much for me over the years that I find myself avoiding going there, youtube is currently much better but we know what once it starts becoming the premiere streaming platform the service will inevitably enshitify but we deal with that when the time comes.

Also it's not just Max, if you payed attention you'll see there are many other streamers that started multistreaming months before bc there's a real issue about twitch managment not being able to sustain such an attrocious business model. The increasing ads are just a symptom of something really huge going backstage, and how many cc are really looking for alternatives that will not make them lose viewers such as youtube that everyone and their moms use.

I think there are several platforms one can multi stream on, the thing is are they actually good or will give him any revenue? As much as we enjoy the content, it's his job and doing a lot of things for nothing looks terrible to me. The bad thing is how twitch did several outrageous things like skipping over dmcas bc they delete streams, but that is not really a legal way to avoid them if concerned people took things to the court. Also the increasingly annoying ads and technical issues makes me wonder how people waited so long to create twitch 2.

I already pay for YT Premium just to get rid of those pesky ads. Regional pricing isn't that bad either (around $3 a month). So I'm glad the prevalence of multi-streaming has popped off for many Twitch streamers I watch since I hate the long unskippable ads on Twitch (and I'm unwilling to spend more on a different platform just to get rid of ads).
