When playing Eruth, make sure you have "Obstinate Familiar" around : it's a 1/1 Lizard creature for a red that says "If you would draw a card, you may skip that draw instead." With both Eruth and this lizard in play, you can decide whether or not you impulse draw since you get to choose which one of those permanents has their effect replace the card draw. This comes in handy against stuff like Peer into the Abyss or mass wheel effects that would impulse draw your library without your consent.

Ghirapur Orrery is sick here. An additional 6 cards a turn and additional land drop will accelerate the gameplay amazingly. And if your commander dies you get a way to actually refill your hand

I would also add several cool synergies you didn't mention: 1) Anvil of Bogardan makes every player draws an extra card each draw step, but you get twice the cards and opponents each have to discard one (ie. you get 4 cards per draw step, they get 2 and discard 1). 2) Null Brooch is kinda horrifying. It's an artifact that taps to let you discard your hand and counter a spell. As you have no hand, it's basically a free counterspell each turn. 3) Anje's Ravager discards your hand but draws 3 (exile 6). 4) Bag of Holding lets you loot each turn for 2

You do have to be careful with the anvil, as it will slowly drain your actual hand to nothingness. This will leave you with nothing but exile spells to cast on your turn unless you use permanets to draw. Better hope you hit a counterspell!

You forgot a mean card. Possessed Portal says "if a player would draw a card, they skip the draw instead. At the beginning of each end step, each player sacrifices a permanent unless they discard a card." When you have two replacement effects that replace the same thing and you control both effects you choose which one of those to apply. That's why you can still use Eruth's ability while your opponents can't draw anything. With cards like Young Pyromancer and Talrand you get constant fodder for the Portal whilst your opponents will run out of cards quickly.

high risk, high reward is one thing, but getting rid of your hand seems really dangerous considering you have no guarantee to "fill up" your temporary hand the next turn (besides the normal draw)

I’m already seeing hyper storm coming out of this. Run every good self replacing spell in Izzet alongside stuff like Birgi to make the mana and hook it into stuff like grapeshot and aetherflux resevior. Basically a regular storm deck but you go twice as fast every time you get a draw card trigger

Technically, since it says "if you would draw a card, exile the top 2 cards of your library INSTEAD" you're technically not drawing even if your whole deck is finished. Do you loose the game or does the game goes on indefinetely?

I do like the concept of playing cards from exile. They're hard to target for opponents. I guess she is a commander for devil-tribal with blue to control? Robber of the rich goes well with the proposed no cards in hands and casting from exile. Eldrazi that can be cast from exile anyway as well.

I even made $50 no rares or mythics mono blue voltron with zahid to make it as low power as possible and still 2 shot someone in a pod lol.

Honestly, this is probably one of the most interesting Izzet commander without the usual izzet issue of begging to be taken into a dickish direction. You can still take this deck there, mind you, but it does more interesting things outside of that. Might actually build Izzet after a good while. Edit: And thanks for the quick take! Hmm, so by choosing her replacement effect instead of an another one, you don't get the downside? Some of those examples can be a mite dickish (so mind the playgroup), but as an idea, it's great! I especially love that Zur's Weirding, as it's sicking your opponents more against each other than you.

So while I like this as an actual commander, what I would rather do is use it as a secret commander in any given Grixis or other Black including deck (perhaps a Garza Zol, Plague Queen deck? Or maybe a Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck?) That way you get access to all of the Hellbent mechanic cards that the Rakdos have to offer instead of just the Red ones. With a commander like this, we could actually see use for cards like Infernal Tutor in Commander. Other cards like Nihilistic Glee would break this as a secret commander, and frankly it would be downright hilarious to use this card to surprise an opponent with a hellbent triggering Tragic Fall for -13/-13 to a target.

Fun fact: if they didn't errata the wording of Shocker or Balance of Power, this commander would have let you burn through your entire deck in one turn. Basically they were worded not in a way that you draw a specific number of cards, but that you'd draw until you have a specific number of cards in hand. Since you can never increase your hand size, you would just exile cards infinitely and I think it would have become a draw game since the card effect can't resolve. I'm not sure if you could technically break the lock at that point, since any card that would destroy Eruth to end it would need to go on the stack?

I'd lean into permanents. Especially cheap ones that draw you cards. Not being able to have a hand means you can't be picky about when to play something. And because boardwipes exist, your infrastructure has to be resilient. Izzet artifacts.....trinkets....recursion....

If you have another draw replacement effect like Teferi's Ageless Insight (draw two cards instead), would you get to choose which one to apply and only apply one, or would you have to apply both, you just get to choose the order? I assume you have to apply both if neither of them have a "may" condition and you still wind up drawing cards from the first replacement effect.

I think this could be really neat! I'm sort of torn between the still relatively "it's gone" aspect of Mtg RFP, compared to the "it's like a second deck" quality it has in something like Yugioh!. I like this idea, but the second rate player that I am, it just feels like it could be too easy to "draw" too many cards; more than your mana can handle on anything less than ideal curve, and then the cards you need, now or later, are exiled, and the effects are usually strict "exiled by this", and/or "exiled this turn". I get it's go big or go home, but it just feels like it could get away from you way too easily. Still, a fun Idea, and in more capable hands, might be very potent!

I've been playing this deck (in a non optimized way, though) and yeah, that's the biggest downside. You get to draw ALL THE CARDS you want, but can't play all of them. Sometimes, you just lose too much of these cards, and some really great cards among them. I think that's the reason why you really wanna fix your mana base and play cards that allow you to play two/more lands a turn. This way, you get better chances at playing the bloody numerous cards you exile. Plus, having Lier on your board allows you to replay sorceries and instants spells from graveyard, so you don't lose too much card advantage either. Regarding the whole instant and counterspells part, Experimental Frenzy and Null Broach really helps! But yeah, it's a dangerous play overall!

Put it in the 99 of a Nekusar deck, Hell she stops you from losing due to Deckout because of it being a REPLACEMENT effect. One thing I would like to mention is that, this is one of the few commanders I would suggest NOT running much on lands in order to maximize value

I want to drop a hand of like twelve cards, ideally some of which would draw me more cards. I've thought about building Chulane. It'd be a good fit there I think.

So does Peer into the Abyss since drawing half your library basically means "impulse your entire library" on an opponent's turn. So unless you have some ways around that (having both Leyline of Anticipation and Omniscience in play for example), you're basically stuck with Eruth after that.
