What a fabulous walk; pretty much a little of everything that Cornwall has to offer. Rugged coastline, a beautiful cove, enchanting woods, waterfalls, and farmland footpaths. Stunning scenery and amusing, or course, throughout. Well done Sarah and Andrew, and big thank you.

Some places just resonate. They have a special atmosphere; an aura. That whole area with the cliffs, the waterfalls, the mill, the river valley and the sunken lanes looks magical. Thank you for sharing such an evocative part of the county. I will put the rocky valley on the itinerary for our spring visit to Cornwall.

If they're authentic, that would be pretty cool - love the Celtic stuff. For me that was a 10/10, but I could see the cost being a bit of a downer for some :)

Hi! So, what's your take on the labyrinth carvings? I am guessing you already knew about them ...? Sarah :)
@cebusapella9125
@cebusapella9125 5 жыл бұрын
@@CornishWalkingTrails Hi, yes, good question. I doubt that they're Bronze Age - too well preserved. Iron Age Celtic is more likely, but even more likely is that they're more recent - maybe contemporary with the mill. There are stone and turf labyrinths on the Isles of Scilly the oldest of which is supposed to be from the 1700s. Incidentally you should do some Scilly walks! Not only is it beautiful, there's plenty of scope for some bad puns!

How lovely Rocky Valley is. I am sorry we missed it on our way to Tintagel in 2017. It was raining and foggy and the phone (and then my map app with gps) failed for a while due to my wet pocket. And I didn't quite know where to find the path to the valley. Now I have seen it here in this video. Thank you. Torunn 😀

@@CornishWalkingTrails We were also quite upset and distressed due to some intense searching by helicopter for a missing teenager in the area when we were passing, so it was an eerie feeling. And we just wanted to continue our walk to Tintagel and get dry and just hope for the poor boy to be found. It turned out he is still missing since those days in 2017. Torunn.

£1 all day! That unbelievable never mid reasonable, I wish we had car parks like this Up North. What a gorgeous walk along the coast and nice that you had to follow the river, which looked real relaxing. I love a money tree and they are all over the lakes. The waterfall was great and nice bit of background information, which added to the spectacle. Stingy with your scores I think, a strong 9 for me, cheers Alan

Still no sound! So watched this totally in silence and had to guess at what you were saying.....and no doubt missed a lot of jokes along the way from Andrew! Long walk....beautiful scenery. We are debating about the location of our Christmas walk or video! I really don't think we will be able to top Fowey from last year - that was totally bonkers! Say "Hi!' to Lyla! We stayed in one of the cottages at Halgabron Farm a few years ago. We did part of the walk you did but in the opposite direction. We didn't visit the waterfall - there comes a point where I refuse to get ripped off any more, what with expensive car parks, expensive ice creams and pasties and outrageous crab sandwiches (£11 in St Ives this year).
