Great video, down live is very precise. Been setting my transducer at full cable length away towards the hole I fish in forward live, extremely impressed! We set up towards our holes from the side and get a good idea where the fish are at if we’re not on them yet. Great vid, tight lines!

I went EE9 due to it's small overall kit size and light weight, and way less spendy.

The eagle eye isn’t aimed to compete with Garmin’s FFS. It’s aimed at the weekend warrior who doesn’t want to spend $2k-$3k on a live bundle but still wants to have live sonar. Is it as good as Garmins? Not even close, but for $1200 and under I’d say it’s a pretty good unit. It’s the first affordable live sonar unit on the market.

@@colinanen1264 I agree with you, although you can get brand new 9" UHD2 LVS32 bundles for $1,800 now...I think most would find a way to save the extra $800 to get the full FFS experience..

It is the exact same technology in both units, essentially just a smaller cone with eagle eye.

Great info! How much was that ice fishing set up with the Eagle Eye 9? For the shuttle, pile, and battery? I’m considering that set up vs the 1800$ mega live set up from Scheels.

It's $999 with no pole or shuttle. I just rigged mine with an old marcum shuttle and 10AH batt and I have a pole kit coming from GGfishing (youtuber). The kit without the pole (but including ducer) weighs a bit over 8 lbs and that's why I got one of these; 58 yrs old and my back isn't as durable as it used to be and I like backcountry lakes with lots of time on my feet and moving. Going to go fish it now for the first time.

I see it has two options. One is a little more in price is there a real difference in them? Just trying to make sure if there is. Looking at mega live and livescope all just so many models to go over is frustrating.

If you’re referring to the screen sizes for the eagle eye, only the 9” has the FFS. Lowrance Also makes Active Target which is where the offshoot of the Eagle eye came from. Active Target is lowrance’s nicest option

Yes. The transducer is keyed along with the pole so it’s pretty much impossible to get it wrong.

lol lowrance still spinning the tires. if it shows down and forward without moving the transducer why in the hell wouldn't they patch in the blank spot with the other mode. Way stupid products all three.

The smaller ducer doesn't have the big black box....it is designed that way...the black box is the computer that stitches 6 beams all together...the cheap unit only has 2 beams (completely forward and down...no angled ones)
