Rock Island makes the BBR 3.1 double stack .45. It's based on the Para Ordanace. I like the full length grip of the Girsan better though.

I'm a Boomer and an Army veteran from the 1911 era. I don't think the extra width is worth 3 extra rounds. A Government 1911 is slim and much easier to conceal.

far as i know P14 mags are not the same as modern 2011s that use STI pattern stuff

well this is an opinion i would have to disagree with... guess from a personal standpoint of some people, their budget, their perferences, sure, but compared to the double stack 2011 options out there, even in any barrel length, seems pretty darn reasonable
