Randy!!! Love you brother and I love your content. Recently I had to visit the ER and missed a couple weeks of content. The good? I had plenty to catch up on the bad ? I was losing my mind without your content lol I had a scare like yourself going into the hospital with unbearable pain. Being told I had pneumonia and admitted after I was discharged I came home and without hesitation AAR to the rescue shortly after two videos the doc calls and requested my immediate visit to his office where he explains it isn’t indeed pneumonia but lung cancer. As you can imagine I had no words for nobody. With my gist over I returned home unpaused AAR and the world is right. I’m not looking for any sympathy I just want you to know that you make time for me anyhow more enjoyable and humorous. Thanks bud Scott Noble from Maine, and I can’t wait to see what you bought from Maine by the way.

Randy, 1000% no bullshit, I bought an 01 park avenue for my parents several years back. One day they were going to the grocery store, went to start it and backfired and literally caught on fire and burned to the ground. Thank God everybody was able to get out of it safe.

If you find one, get a 1979 2 door areo coupe caprice classic, they are great cars, advoid ones that had stereo amps put in or had big wheels (18" to 21"). Those do damage to the body, suspension, and electrical systems. They have that a unique back window makes look very sporty. The 350 v8 great engine. The 77 and 78 are just as nice.

I had a 94 escort coupe in manual and man that thing was AWESOME IN GAS and only issue I had was fuel pump ( 3 times in 4 years) and 1 clutch replacement (normal repair) was very easy to do in my drive way I got it at 180k miles for $300 and sold it at 344k miles running for $500! Bought another 95 escort 4 dr coupe with 75k miles in automatic I only bought it cuz I needed a car and it was $250 USD from a women’s who passed estate. And at 150k the water pump gave out then 160 the auto trans went out! And scraped it. My buddy had a 99 escort sedan like this green one in a auto And at 60k trans went out (right after buying it from used dealer so they fixed it free) car was 9 years old at the time. Then at 120k the trans went out again. They wanted $1.100 to replace it and car was only worth like $1,200 So he sold it for parts. Very sad cuz ford acknowledged that the 98 to 2000 escorts had major transmission issues but no recall for the automatics.

The Pt cruiser has better style than the HHR! Now the biggest issues with HHR were timing chains letting a link go and wrapping up the crank sensors and cam senor and hope a piston didn’t hit Most time you can put another chain on as long as the chain didn’t disconnect completely off. Or break thru the housing cover. But the chain link will let loose out of nowhere and shut down. Now PT cruiser it’s mostly the plastics that break. Like door handles radio knobs and window switches and inside push lights. And cheap material like cork or thin rubber valve cover gaskets. And cheap hoses. The autos were slow and had issues but the manuals were reliable and you can get many miles out of them. The HHR got better gas miles then PT cruiser even tho the PT is more aerodynamic

I had a 98 olds intrigue and I got the exploding plenum surprise myself lol. Middle of winter, 4 am getting ready to go to work. I hit the key, and boom! Sounded like a damn 12 gauge going off next to my ear. I saw a brief fireball come out the wheel well as it happened. 10 below zero out, I opened the hood to make sure it wasnt on fire, closed it, and drove my plow truck to work. Turned out the fuel pressure regulator was leaking, and thats what caused the fuel to pool in the plenum. I sure didn't need coffee that morning lol
