It's a combination of factors. In Poland people prepare home made dishes for Christmas and generally clean/tidy up their places. Christmas is a big thing in Poland even if you don't follow the tradition most of your friends and family members take the opportunity and gather at home. Also it usually is damn cold outside so people tend to stay indoors. Lastly, as you can see on the video, André is recording it late in the afternoon or evening (or maybe even at night) when there are less people around. Alternatively you can go to Legnica and find out why it looks so empty and report back to us commenting here ;)

7:26 This is German architecture, not Polish. Legnica lies in the western part of Poland and where you've mostly been in used to be Germany. If you truely wanna see real Poland go check out Lublin city

Really? Most of the historical Lublin was designed by Italian architects. And, it "used to be" part of the Russian Empire. The same applies to Warsaw. Following your logic, the "real Poland" is nowhere to be found.
