It has been a few years since the Power Rangers Cinematic Universe was announced. With the praise of movies, TV shows and video games all tying into one cohesive universe, it was pretty exciting. But we have had nothing since. What's going on? Let's talk about it.

If it has a similar aesthetic to the 2017 movie and tone, I’m here for it. Once the “new Cannon“ gets established, I wouldn’t say no to a Transformers/Power Rangers crossover either. Even if we don’t get a new show next year, I’d still like to see emphasis on lightning collection/ZAP and things of that nature. Obviously with a better grip on quality control. At least the window packaging is coming back. Thank F for Small favours.

@@Anthyrion yeah the first half wasn’t great second half was awesome though. I like the Rita costume design, I even liked Elizabeth Banks in the roll. Her as the green ranger was cool I thought. The Brian Tyler score, a lot to like about the movie.

@@Eva_H Yes, but it's understandable. They had to introduce the personalities and the social environment for the Rangers and how they became friends. There were three things in the movie, that i didn't liked: The Megazord didn't looked good, Goldar as Rita's best henchmen should've been a normal Monster and not made from pure Gold and the Crispy Cream scene

I like it when Becky G is listening to that metal track on the cliff. It’s a very beautifully shot film, specifically daytime shots, night time, not so much.

@@Eva_H I think, they wanted to play a little bit with the elementals in the movie. The putties made of stone and Goldar out of Gold. The Idea for the putties was interesting, because Rita could summon them wherever she wanted. But Goldar is such an iconic Monster and always a challenge for the Rangers. He should've been a normal loyal servant for her

With regards to the actor's strike, its worth remembering that Power Rangers has historically been a non-union show (with one or two exceptions). As long as that hasn't changed, casting could still go ahead, even if they can't get any scripts written. And casting before writing could help the actors put their own mark on their characters.

That's certainly true but it was much easier to pull non-union actors from a pool of New Zealand and Australian actors. Now that we've left New Zealand probably going to get harder to be non-union. Also I don't know specifically cuz I'm not in that profession but I heard they don't usually cast without writers. Sometimes the script has to change because of who they hire. And you can't make minor changes without crossing the picket line

My guess is that the Japanese involvment for this new series will mainly be doing behind the scenes work like the designing both the ranger and monster suit designs along with fight direction but the show itself will be completely original footage.

i just hope they don't make it all ugly and dark, like modern superhero movies and the 2017 movie. visually, i mean. they can have the tone be as dark as they want, i don't care. i just don't want it to look ugly and drab. one of the main things about Power Rangers is how there's multiple people in BRIGHTLY COLORED suits. also i wouldn't worried about development being slowed. Power Rangers is a non-union production, so no union strikes could possibly affect it, unless for whatever reason, unions just get embraced out of the blue by Hasbro

It's a shame that they're not planning to adapted anymore Super Sentai into a Power Rangers Series after Power Rangers Cosmic Fury is finished. I just wished that they have adapted Kiramager into the next Power Rangers Series for 2023 instead or just for next year 2024 for the last time before they moved on because I always wanted to see the version of Kiramager with different story and new characters especially seeing the second female green ranger with a skirt on.

Hey there Sixth Ranger. I have to admit that this news about a reboot of Power Rangers absolutely sounds amazing and interesting just because it show us fans a fantastic and wonderful new way. Of course, like many of my fellow community members from this channel, I have express my concerns regarding the reboot and edginess. Either then that I am looking forward to seeing what it will look like, but also always keep the original beloved series in my heart. Anyways, thanks again for this new and exciting video. If its not MMPR, its a waste of time, money and no different from any other season of PR. RPM is in its own universe and was disconnected from other seasons, until it wasn't. The next logical step for PR is a MMPR reboot that follows the Boom! Studios comics. Its the most recognizable season and to most people, MMPR is Power Rangers. The word reboot also implies that they are redoing a previous season. They wouldn't need to call it a reboot if it was an original season.

I hope those suits seen in the thumbnail are the official suits that will be worn in the reboot. Those are the best looking suits I've seen that give an updated look but still stays true to the original design. Would love to see those suits in a MMPR movie as well.

I’m concerned about any sort of reboot. The ones we got from other franchises were absolutely horrible, and anyone involved with the Netflix Witcher series is a red flag for me given the damage they did to it and made Henry cavil nope out

yes, it is still happening, but they won't be able to do anything until after the writer's strike and actor's strike are over, 2024 will most likely be a hiatus year with no new shows, movies or games and the only new stuff will be toys

@Thee 6th Ranger, Hi I've been following your videos for a while, but I've only recently had reason to rediscover my interest in Power Rangers. Something amazing happened! I've been studying Japanese for many years, brought about from my early interest in things you can imagine having their roots in Japan. Just recently I found the impossible! Someone on youtube is posting Japanese dubbed PR episodes, and this is a very old dream come true. This makes Power Rangers exciting again, and as for the Netflix projects, most Netflix originals get a Japanese dub, and if that happens, I'm almost certainly going to be sold on it! If I could just add some things, I wonder if you've ever heard of Tekkaman Blade? The English dub has some PR cast. The US TV version only aired half as Teknoman, but you can find an uncut "International version" complete in English. Also I often talk up the film "A Silent Voice", just because it's outstanding! Any thoughts you have on these topics are welcome! Thank you very much, and I hope you have a great day!

I found something that I did not know about today. I was on plex and just scrolling around and stumbled upon “POWER RANGER ORIGINS” it said it was releasing at the end of this year. There are no original cast, but the story is about goldar ruling after the death of Rita. It shows only Tommy Oliver, ZORDON, and mrs. Applebee being the only “original” characters, everyone else is a new character including Parker Oliver who I’m assuming is Tommy’s brother and a “mr. Oliver” who I guess is their father. I know this is not what the video is about I just literally found out about this 10 minutes ago and It caught me off guard.

I was thinking today how I would like to see Power Rangers Cosmic fury end. Would require a body double of course. Some universe destroying catastrophe that the power rangers have to hold back with their zords, and meanwhile Tommy has to keep Lord Zed busy so he can't stop the rangers from preventing this. Things don't go well for tommy, but then the original rangers combine their power with Zordon (after he has somehow returned), who then channels that power along with some of his own into Tommy. This extra power triggers a combined morph of all 4 of Tommy's ranger powers in the master morpher into a kinda master mode (I'm thinking like Lord Drakkon but with a green suit, Gold dino thunder markings along the limbs, a zeo ranger belt and a small red star shaped crystal on the shield). Then we get a big epic final showdown between Tommy and Lord Zed, with the Go Green Ranger song playing of course.

I truthfully have been wanting the reboot to happen for years. I’ve missed the original Power Rangers up until the 2000s after that there was a few hits and misses. But I want to see is Mighty Morphin,Zeo,Turbo,In Space and Galaxy right off the bat. I would like it a little more adult not too much more maybe PG-13. Not so after school special. I would like the actors to be playing older people may be in college or out there in the workforce

TBH, I'm glad that the series is getting a reboot. Think of it as a New Era of sorts. Since 1993, we've experienced a series while legendary, is tied to the Sentai that it spawned from. This means that there's stipulations on the creativity of each PR series that comes afterwards. Having a reboot of the series allows for more creative liberties IMO. I'd love to see Power Rangers become a PG-13 series going forth. The MCU movies being PG-13 (with some exceptions) seems like a good balance. Bring in themes such as betrayal, romance, the mental/physical toll of being a Ranger, & destiny into the mix. PG-13 movies are usually for kids & adults alike IMO. Hasbro can still give us figures from series past to please the fans. Just let the series start over so that it can be exposed to a wider audience.

I want to see a Japanese anime-style new MMPR series, in the same vein as Love Over World Domination. This series must follow a teenaged Justin Stewart, a few years after his final appearance in Power Rangers: In Space. It should also feature a group of Autobots(including a former fembot Vehicon, & a Minicon) attempting to transport a shipment of Transformer sparks to Elthar, after talking to Zordon---, only to be blasted, via a wormhole, into the future(Teenage Justin's timeline!), and losing their entire shipment of sparks(3000 of them!), in the (WildForce Power Rangers)Animarium pool, as they end up crashing on Earth.

Good question since the English dubs of Smile/Doki Doki PRECURE were so bad they bankrupted Saban the ones that MADE the USA version of Power Rangers years ago and that happened as of 2018.

How to connect transformer and power ranger The megazord are the Dino bots from transformer. The power grid is based off the energon radiation emitted throughout the universe from primus . Zordon and alpha use transformer tech and nano technology to make the ranger suits .they also use a weaker ver of the transwarp to teleport the rangers around earth. The machine empire is also a different species of smaller human size transformers .zero crystals are pure energon unlike the energon radiation from primus .
