Holden's spare parts division supplied the panels in an above-board deal, although there were misgivings that they may get copied, it ultimately didn't happen (to their or my knowledge, although there was at least one other car that used the Commodore panels, it's not known if they were onsold by Beijing Auto Motor Works or counterfeit copies).
