Places where there are a lot of foreign workers tend to have a lot of trash on the streets. There are several cities and districts like that in South Korea. In the case of Suwon, it's the area around Suwon Station.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is a historic fortress located in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Built between 1794 and 1796 during the Joseon Dynasty, the fortress was commissioned by King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of the dynasty, to honor and protect the tomb of his father, Crown Prince Sado, who had been tragically executed by his own father, King Yeongjo. The fortress also served to strengthen the region's defense and to symbolize the king’s power and ability to modernize the country. Key Features of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress: Wall and Gates: The fortress walls stretch over 5.7 kilometers (3.5 miles) and encircle the old city of Suwon. The walls are built using a mix of brick and stone, making it a unique structure in terms of architectural style. There are four main gates, each with its own significance: Paldal Gate (Southern Gate) Hwahong Gate (East Gate) Chilseong Gate (North Gate) Changnyong Gate (West Gate) Architectural Design: The fortress incorporates both traditional and innovative designs, reflecting King Jeongjo's intent to combine military defense with advanced engineering and modern architecture of the time. It was constructed using the latest military engineering techniques and features such as a secret passage (called the "Nongyong" system) and defensive military structures. Hwaseong Haenggung Palace: Inside the fortress is the Hwaseong Haenggung, a secondary palace used by the king when visiting Suwon. The palace is beautifully restored and offers visitors a glimpse into the past. Cultural Significance: The fortress was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 due to its cultural and historical importance. It reflects the advancements in Korean military architecture during the late Joseon period. Cultural Activities: Visitors can walk along the fortress walls and explore various sections of the site. There are also reenactments of historical events and various exhibitions that showcase life in Joseon-era Korea. Visiting Suwon Hwaseong Fortress: How to Get There: Suwon is easily accessible by train or bus from Seoul. The fortress is within walking distance from Suwon Station. Best Time to Visit: The fortress is open year-round, but visiting in spring (when the cherry blossoms bloom) or fall (when the leaves change colors) offers a particularly beautiful experience. Overall, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is a stunning combination of history, culture, and architecture that provides an excellent insight into Korea’s past, especially during the late Joseon Dynasty.

There is a War Memorial dedicated to the Filipino soldiers during the Korean War located in Yeoncheon. It has a pretty awesome story behind it.

우리 한국인들도 수원 번화가의 길거리 쓰레기 때문에 깜짝 놀란답니다. 특이한 지역이지요. 수원 지역 관리정부이 환경미화에 무척 소홀하다는 느낌이 듭니다.

Trifate are the only travel vlogger who go to even the unknown and unlikely cities travellers would go to. They’d be experts of Asia by the time they’re done with the travels. Hopefully they move to Asia but bec they are travellers… there’s still lots of places and continents for them to visit and explore.

you are correct that most korean city areas are segrated by age group. nightlife areas are always 99% young people. as in japan and southeast asia the nightlife areas are usually mix of young middle age and old people. but korea is probably the only place on earth where the nightlife areas are almost 100% young people.
