It's always nice to see something simple that is just done well and made affordable, these types of products sometimes have poor margins so it's always big to acknowledge the maker and support them, follow their work. Thanks for the great vid my brain is always 100% activated after your guy's videos.

I’m confused as I’m seeing different statements about this across the internet. I’m seeing it makes cold brew coffee but I’m also seeing it only makes a cold brew concentrate and you still have to dilute it?
@ricardoavalosaranda25903 ай бұрын
depending on the coffee ratio you are using more coffee you use, you get a cold brew concentrate that helps you to build drinks and mocktaiks the less coffe you use, you get a softer cold brew that can be drink straight

Welp, you guys convinced me to get one. I've had good success with the OXO compact, but now I will have both brewing in the fridge as I plow through my cold brew rather quickly. Cheers!

It's a nice piece, especially for the price. We've been using it for a few weeks now and it has held up well so far!

Have this exact pitcher. Super simple. Makes great coffee. I love it!

I one went with a 5-1 ratio, would the grounds be below the water line?

Nice!! I usually use my French press to make cold brew, but this device looks more practical… I might give it a try 👌🏼

It's a really good device for the price. I think it's a little more expensive now since we shot the video though

That 1:8 ratio is smart, less need to water down so you can just taste the brew right out the gate. This review was colder then cold brew 👊 use your whole brain, folks!

Thanks man!! It's a nice little device. Honestly I wanted to hate it but just couldn't - it did a great job

Love your videos. Would like to see you guys go into some depth on your pourover techniques on common brewers like v60, Kalita, chemex etc.... Im always trying to see what methods people are using.

I'm new to this. What does 1 to 8 ratio mean? Coffee to water but how much of each? Thanks.

1 part coffee 8 parts water.

Hey, are you guys shaking the carafe when brewing? I've used the Takeya for two weeks now and I've discovered that when I shake as directed, the sheer amount of grounds released into the brew makes it undrinkable. I like to paper filter my cold brew as a final step; initially, when filtering a quart of shaken brew, I went through 3-4 paper cones per batch! And filtering took 30+ minutes! What I'm now doing is: I pre-wet the coffee in the Takeya filter cone using about 1 cup of water. I first place the cone into a measuring cup and allow the water to pass through; I save the water and add it to the carafe totaling 32 ounces. I then screw the cone onto the lid and add the wet filter cone to the filled carafe. I DO NOT shake, but gently twist (left to right) to carefully agitate and I leave it undisturbed for 24 hours in the fridge. I'm interested in your take on this.

Use a coarser grind. If the little bits irritate you, use a seive to remove the fines before brewing.

Maybe could suggest Santa Barbara Roasting Company? I'd like to know your thoughts of the dark roast from them. Like Dark Tropics Blend, sadly my favorite Amora coffee is no more so can't suggest them. There is the codes SUMMER for 40% off, then SHIPPING for free shipping just incase

You didn't explain how to make it? What does 1:5 1:8 mean? How much coffee went in?
@WholeBrainCoffee Жыл бұрын
It's just coffee to water ratio. For example 1:13 ratio would be 10 grams of ground coffee to 130ml water
