This is how the tax money was spent. My mom is on Medicare. We got a commode from hospital. I was shocked to see for the last two years, each month her account was charged $50 for the rental of the commode. Medicare seems got a good discount to pay $10/month. Still it’s outrageously expensive for a commode worth $30 to buy from Amazon. If I knew it’s a rental I would just buy it instead of asking the hospital to provide it.

Did we get what we paid for? I mean did congress receive the printed study of the butterflies in Europe? When I applied for a grant to provide care for disabled or seniors at home who were slightly over asset to qualify for Medicaid and it was a book. Then I had to prove that the care was delivered and was necessary. I have a feeling there is no accountability for these "grants" and they may just be theft.
