This has always been one of my favorite Sheik swag options. It's not something I've really worked into my game for combo purposes yet, but this video is a good push to keep it in mind. I always get really excited seeing the CA Sheik gang bust this out in their clips, and one of the coolest looking Sheik things I have ever seen in Melee was watching DannyPhantom (#1 in Wisconsin) do these out of a moonwalk.

Maybe im dumb but what determines how far off the ledge you go? Sometimes I barely leave the ledge and other times I go like the entire length of my up b

its depends how far away from ledge you start the up-p. if you up-b right before you slide off you go super far, but you can still up-b a decent amount earlier and ur friction will slow you down but you still side off and barely go anywhere before poofing back

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I think there’s nothing that’s impossible to do on a boxx that you can do on a gcc but there are some things impossible to do on a gcc that you can do on a boxx

There are some super specific angles that you can't hit on a boxx for things like icies desync and like some puff stuff with bairing without turning around, but those angles are nearly impossible on a GCC without notches, but generally speaking you can do everything on a boxx that you can do on a GCC

In terms of this technique, i actually think it's easier on the boxx with the 'release' method because there's no stick travel time or snapback so there's a bit more leniency with the timing
