Interesting, but how does this react to water, i wonder...abv is 46 % btw (not heard you say it). It seems young as we hear you. For me the price is too high if the casks are as young as you guess. For the record, I see on French websites that the box isn't making it to French market because of French regulations on alcohol. I guess its because they use superlatives/pleasure induced adjectives so they consider that the marketing gimmicks (well said, Sertug) are an encouragement to alcohol abuse...Honestly it can still happen, sure, but given the high price asked for it, I doubt that young binge drinkers will buy this for that matter...Anyway, nice review. The fact that Ardbeg hasn’t had a special release since Spectacular ( 7 months ago) speaks volumes, whereas they were over releasing several a year… which most are still collecting dust in glass shrines…overpriced gimmicks have run their coarse. Most reviewers echo your sentiment… it’s good but not spectacular especially at 46% and $130( which is double what it should retail) They should go back to their heritage and only do ONE special release per year at cask strength or close like Diageo and charge what the market will bare.
