That mercy has been affirmed positively by the matchmaking. Rewarded unnecessary for things that are actually wrong by the botched matchmaking so they do what theyve learned over time. If only they were punished for doing that in earlier matches before climbinf up they wudve learnt byt there was no punishment for their mistakes while climbing so they do what they usually do.

Yo, it’s me the tank. First of all, thank you Emongg for watching my submission. The amount of shock and joy I had as I was watching it live I cannot express. It really made my day. Second of all, that gameplay was not my normal gameplay. I had been playing the game for a few hours so I got sloppier and I was suddenly conscious of every decision I was making, which made me rethink certain actions. I did take you advice on bubbling the bastion though. That same day I played with a friend who went bastion and U bubbled him while he was in turret form. Third of all, you guys have to keep in mind that this was a gold one lobby. Everyone in it was all sorts of different ranks. There were most defined people in that lobby who didn’t belong. I am also mostly a Sigma one trick. I only went Zarya because I felt like it was the better switch to go with. I also have a severe problem with tunnel visioning and over extending. I didn’t even get to play in a platinum lobby that day. That’s as my first tank rank, so it might be a little high, and I went 5-0 whirl playing only in gold one lobbies. I also submitted this video specifically because I knew the rank would have been hard to tell. I also was not gonna let that pylon make it out of the fight alive. I had to go for it; no one else would. I am ranked gold on the other two roles though, that was why I was surprised to get platinum.

Keep the hard work going and you'll get plat fast dont worry, and like emongg said, you can also help your bastion or other dps with your sigma shield when you see them push or trying to engage a dual with someone else

For sigma I find it better to get into a rthyme. Shield out, bring it down, take damage, suck. Shield out. It allows you to cycle through your abilities, allows your support to get charge off of you, and means you always have a decent rolling chunk of shield to whip out for whatevers coming your way. . obviously it's always situational and every game is different but it can be almost relaxing. You also don't have to fly into the air like that during your ult, especially without placing your shield where you're going to be/land. .you'll get slept by ana every time like that or anyone else with cc. I've seen dooms punch sigmas out of the air doing that. I'd give the other heroes more of a go though, even if it's just to get into the mind of the enemy and what strategies work well for them. You can also use your shield aggressively by placing it just past a tank/DPS so that they dont get those heals like a see through mei wall, even if it's just for a second...can work wonders.

​@@pockettwoyup, people also overlook that overwatch also has some of the lowest aim assist of literally any controller using FPS game Let's not mention the crazy amount of ximming (mouse and keyboard with full controller aim assist) in higher console lobbies. Jay 3 has done several videos of console Vs pc and you'd be surprised how well console stack up (and occasionally straight up beat the pc side)

So I do have a suggestion for the bingo card itself, it seems like “I’m a tank” and “tank out of LOS” almost always get ticked at the same time As for what would replace one of the two, I don’t have a clue, but it seems like when a tank falls over we get both of those at the same time 9 times out of 10

Mystery bingo submissions should have a rule that the player must have played a significant amount of competitive (e.g. at least 100 games) before the game that they're submitting. It's pretty common that a new competitive player gets a gold/plat placement as their very first rank, and then falls to silver or bronze because they just aren't at that level, and the game simply gave the gold/plat because the first few games aren't enough data for an accurate rank.

on console*, average rank you get placed on PC is high silver, in all 3 roles i played for example i placed silver 2 or 1 despite winning every match, while gold is theoretically the average rank, you will more than likely rank high silver even playing well in placements assuming you rank right after ranked is unlocked (mmr in quickplay does carry over to ranked somewhat, so if you played QP like, 500 matches it will boost your starting rank in comp a bit). on console however ranks are inflated, average rank on console is plat, most get placed in low gold after placements

As a console player, Lobbies from silver to mid plat are mostly the same since most players are between those ranks, you need to be higher that that to find a huge diference, its like theres not that much diference with randos, they either know how to play, or they either dont

Not as much honestly. Cross play is enabled by default so most console players are with pc most the time, unless they're comp players only

not going to lie, i didnt agree with your constant calls to bubble bastion, you would call it when bastion goes turret form to kill one guy, and get upset when he doesnt bubble, ok but you wont get anything from the one guy who is almost certainly running away, not shooting the bastion, dont waste bubbles simply because bastion went turret, be strategic with them, else you wont have bubbles for an emergency or another dude who could get you a ton of charge

As a console player I both can and can't believe that this is gold 1 LMAO. I recently got into plat 5 and my first match wa great, my team went high ground and positioned well. Yet I still have a bunch of games where my tank will pick sig vs a Rein and will try and brawl them up close. You really do be rolling the dice when you play

You know what, I feel this 100%. I did my placements on Tank last season for the first time ever and I rarely play tank (only about 60-70 hours of Tank compared to nearly 600 hours of my main role support) and I got placed Plat 5 and I’m Gold in support. There’s absolutely no way I deserved Plat I was so sure I was going to get Bronze - maaayyybeee silver. But that’s the rank system for you :)

You are absolutely right that I need to work on my ult timing. I am horrible with it. As for shield placement, this game I was mostly trying to use it to block of healing going to anyone in front of me. Normally I don’t use my shield like that, but for whatever reason I did it for this game.

If that’s a plat 3 lobby the ranking system is fucked cuz I deranked down to bronze 5 to start my climb back up to diamond, I sat diamond 5/4 all OW1 and figured I could climb back up, not with the current matchmaking if im getting players like this. Absolutely no fucking shot this is anything higher than bronze 1. Probaby got thrown into a plat lobby and lucked out with the sun and the rank boosted his placement. Good to know im not crazy. I felt like the players in my games weren’t worthy of the tanks they are at and now this proves it 😂😂
