You can tell Ayo has never watched Atleti play. And when constantly going on about the money Atleti spent neither Dermott or Colin could give a definitive answer as to how they could afford the summer spend. Salary cap has nothing to do with them spending 200M. They failed to mention that 9 players left & 6 were brought in and that this was a rebuild. More importantly little was mentioned about the fact that Atleti were very cheap the past 2 seasons relying on cheap & free transfers. And having a very rich person as a shareholder has absolutely nothing to do with Atleti's new stadium or the new sports city, both are being funded by loans taken against the club & paid for with the revenue the club brings in from La Liga, TV & Champions League. This felt more like a subtle way to take a swipe at Simeone.

One thing that they don’t really mention is how important Gimenez being consistently fit this season has been. Far and away their best CB and is stepping into the Godin role truly. Genuinely one of the best CBs in Europe right now.
