If you would like to explore some more places with similar topography , i would suggest the North eastern states of India as well . If you want to eat beef in kerala you can, also there are people in kerala who eat pork, muslims and some Hindus and some Christians don't eat pork but Muslims and other's have no problem with others eating it. Similarly, there are some people in Kerala who do not eat beef.. they have no problem with others eating it. But there are also news in Kerala where Hindutva extrem*sts beat up shops for selling beef, Kerala is the state with the highest number of rss hindutva terror*st organization units in India, now they are doing a lot to divide people, all the time their job is to spread islamophobia, but they eat beef secretly. OMG what a discovery. Kerala cuisine is also one of the best in India and quite underrated. Unfortunately it isn’t that widely available as cuisines from other states. Hope you got to try some. Their seafood preparations are out of this world. We will definitely have to visit next year.

@@sowbow21 hi thank you for the comment. Travelling to so many different places and trying to find these local places definitely asks for a lot of adjustment. When I just started travelling, I definitely had to get used to a lot of things, but I learned that travelling for me is all about putting yourself out of your comfort zone and adjusting yourself to your environment and the people you are with. You will learn so much and you will also notice that people are really very helpful everywhere. Your question is if I ever got frustrated and overwhelmed with these things. Yes for sure! This video show all the best moments and there are definitely also a lot of moments in which I am very socially drained tired or over sensed with culture shock, but it’s so worth it. I think once you start travelling, you will notice that these authentic experiences will come to you much easier than you think.

They come here and they expect us to treat them like they're our Gods and we're their slaves. That's how most of their behaviour is. We malayalees are welcoming of all cultures, but migration is still bad due to both language and culture barriers. North Indians are not open to learning other languages as they expect everyone else to know Hindi. Look at what happened to Bangalore. It's so overcrowded by outsiders that their own culture is no more. And it's a fact that North Indians look down on South Indians and North East Indians by calling us idli sambar and chinese. They are racist towards their own fellow citizens. So it doesn't make it easy to get along with them.

India has so much to offer for travelers and tourists. There are so many places that it will take you a life time to see. As a malayali I would say go offbeat in India in states like Kerala,goa, Himachal..then go with a guide around sikkim, north bengal,northeastern states like assam, meghalaya, nagaland, arunachal. I also believe andaman, lakshadweep, jharkhand, odisha are really underrated places but be careful out there. Try to avoid the crowded cities maybe except Varanasi and jaipur... I think I can recommend forever lol 😂

This place is wonderful, I go there every weekend in the evening with friends and family.There are some toddy shops in that area where they provide toddy as well as some tasty authentic dishes that too at reasonable rates. Such a beautiful place, probably one of the most beautiful sights of the world. Salute to the people who are living here and taking care of the environment, but alas feeling sad for them as they are in tough times when floods come in and even their livelihood is gone and have to live in fear during heavy rains as they cannot even cultivate paddy due to flood water. These people are the ones who have to be given all support for their survival and wish more and more tourists visit this place so that they can earn for few months to live the rest of the months when there are no earnings. Some innovative methods also should be found out by experts and Govt. to make their life safe during heavy rains and floods. But Indian Govt. or concerned authorities least care for them.

The whole India have misjudgement and hate on Kerala , the same time people from foreign are praising our people and place ! We are here always to invite people to our place and explore , we will be more happy to help you and guide you ! Gods own country , Gods own people❤ My suggestion is people are only exploring places like kochi , alapuzha ,, this are all southern Kerala ! Do visit Malabar regions ( kasargod , kannur , kozhikode ) , Kasrgod and kannur are known for Theyyam , which is a folk divine art , you can see only in oct , Nov , Dec months ! , and these two districts are yet not explored by keralites !
