10% dish soap 90% water. Dab with finger and put on brick or use a spritzer. Add sticker and it allows it to move around so you can get it perfect. Then swipe as if squeegeeing the excess water out. Sets perfect with no adhesive deterring.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. It was driving me crazy that the stickers were a bit crooked.

Windex works well also. Just spritz some on, place the sticker and wipe the excess windex off.

the thing that annoys me the most is Lego decided to use the normal looking drive wheels for the front and Tender bogies. This is clear to notice as they still have wheel weights and the holes to put the piston rod pieces on them. Surely at over £450 was it? you'd expect Lego to Design some new wheels without the weights at least. Oh yea and the fact that it doesnt work at all with other lego train sets. That price is stupid IMO.
