Doing it right when it's about to be the start of the rainy season in the Caribbean wasn't a particularly smart idea. Could have done it earlier in the year, stuff the IPL and PSL if it clashes with them, the World Cup should take precedence. Also why are they holding it every two years? Do it every four like the ODI World Cup.

Same old moaning about how ICC is helping India. Not sure how it helps though. E.g. every team knows where they will play the final. Does that help them reach there? No. England have known the venue of Test championship final for last whatever number of years. How many did they manage to reach? There are two points here which people can only see when they open their eyes: 1. Advantage is what you make of it. If you give all the advantage and India don’t play well they can never win the tournament. India’ worst performance in World cups in many years was in 2021 in Dubai. They were the hosts and played a full IPL in that country and didn’t reach second round. 2. ICC do this because they want to make money of Indian popularity and sponsors. It’s in ICC’ interest and also that makes it interest of other boards as that same money is what these same Wisden “experts” want to then be distributed in equal proportion. India have had yo endure a silly pitch in New York because of this desire of ICC to make money off them. They also have to play high pressure fixtures against Pakistan every single World cup when they would much rather play something that is slightly easier on pressure front. So it actually puts them at disadvantage. Either way, moan as much as you like and then come asking for some extra money from same ICC and in turn BCCI that you love to hate.

Not very smart of Wisden. Aussies also know exactly what is the venue of their semis due to seeding and the timing. Aussies know they will be in same super 8 group as India and hence will play other semis. So how does only India get the advantage? Doesn’t Australia also know about it? Pls be smarter and don’t drive just your agenda
