Forget the osprey I remember when they had flights between Grenada and carriacou in one of those turbo planes and you could shake hands and chat with the pilot.

I stayed a week in the 80s. Silver Beach? One of the 2 hotels (!) No ferry back then. We got there by the weekly post boat. I met Mr Canute Caliste and bought a couple of his wonderful paintings. Only one policeman (armed with umbrella). No crime. We were there for the annual Shakepeare Race ( what was that called) great fun. Hillsborough a gentle quiet town. The locals I talked to were not very keen on visiting Grenada. "Too fast" they said.

You guys are so cool. Matt you explain everything so well and with joy and a positive vibe as should be you are on vacation no work, no hassles, no stress just perfect. Thank you for sharing this beautiful island paradise. Please show us the hotel that you stayed at. Also are there 5 star hotels on the beach with a gym, coffee bar, gift shop, water sports, tennis, etc, etc. What time of the year did you go on?

You covered as much as you could for a day trip but really want to spend a few days so much to see: villages, interior national park, museum, Amerindian ecavations, boat building and best of all Cariacou's cultural traditions: Nations' Dance/Quadrille/Tombstone Feasts/Weddins -joinings/Regatta/Carnivals

Thank you for the pre-hurricane Beryl view of the island. If you would be so kind as to refer to a certain historical population as 'enslaved' since no one is born a slave.

THAT rock is the infamous underwater volcano 'Kick 'em Jenny' - now you know why it got its name! Treat it as a welcome to Carriacou. If you wanted to avoid the sea sickness or avoid sprinting back for the 3.30 sailing, you should try the plane. More expensive but no crowding to board + no choppy waters + only 20mins journey + later 17.00 flight means no rushing.

Sincerely i spent 2 months on this island and it was one of the worth stay i had. What a nightmare q How dirty the island is ! Empty beer bottles every where, lot of garbage everywhere, people insulting you when simply walking, poor annoyed Retired people, nothing to do, music speakers late in the night, expensive restaurants with very average food, and so on and so forth. I lived on my boat, and i left quickly this place. Iike most of french people.
