IS THIS THE BEST EARLY HORDE BASE?! 2022 - Night of the Dead Gameplay

Two things: 1) To get rid of the annoying fog from the new graphics, make sure to set your graphics setting, under "Change Resolution" and "Output Dynamic Range" to "Limited" and not "Full" on Nvidia. AMD is likely something similar. 2) I'm sure you found out the hard way, but when you build on platforms instead of the ground, to start your initial traps, the platforms/foundations you build will get worn down over time. You constantly have to repair them. Instead, I prefer to build on the top of buildings where it's flat already, then the only thing you have to repair is the traps themselves. Never a risk for your entire flow to stop because one of the foundations was destroyed. At that point, that's when all the zombies start attacking things around them at random. Can cause major havok to your base. Other flat places to build is on roads, bridges, valley floors, courtyards, and inside buildings. For example, in the new version of the game, there are a lot more very large buildings you can build inside. There's a school and gymnasium in the same city where the swimming pool is, or the parking garage, or lots of multistory buildings you can build inside.

@@GilBrozGaming You should! The game needed some polish but it's mostly there now. The only weird things are like when your motorcycle gets stuck. Just have to get off the bike, and you'll then have the option to pick it up and move it away from the object. Same with the APC, other motorcycle, etc. They do have water vehicles, but I doubt you'd ever get stuck unless you hit land weirdly. 🤣

@@GilBrozGaming The map is huge now with different zones. Was that there before? It's like 10-20 times larger. So many more cities and places to build. Just make sure to raid vending machines for temporary protection from heat, cold, poison, etc. You'll also need a gas mask to go into mines. Lots more weapons and some new things to build, like Drone Station. Haven't tested that one out yet. Supposed to do repetitive tasks. But yeah, lots to explore! There's enough that you could turn off zombie waves and just clear the entire world map! Love the new guns the best! It's fun! 😀

Yay an efficient Z killin' base, I like it! If you use bridges upgraded to metal above the traps and only one wall high you can reload and repair through the bridge, you obviously have to figure out getting over the higher traps and how to support the bridge once past them so you can reload the lower traps near the far end. I've not got that far in my new game but beams and columns spring to mind, but I like the multiple spur idea, you could use it so you don't have to reload anything during the horde if you have three or 4 long enough spurs full of traps and stand in the right place for each separate wave for pathing the Zs. Once you're electric the mortar is good for killing giants only drawback was it kills them too far away from the base to even see them most of the time unless you keep it switched off till they arrive.

bridge idea is good i will try it out! thank you :). yes if you kept building these pathways longer then you wouldnt need a reload and then again when they are metal even less reload issues. Ive not used a mortar before but i will deffo be trying that out!!

Hi, you improved the base a lot ! 👍 Taf Thomas has good advices, but I wouldn't use bridges to reload/repair traps. Zombies can hit you from under the bridge, I would use foundations for that, with windowed wall to see what you're doing. It's a bit late now, but the best solution imo is to place traps on the ground. Now you really need to get the 1st book for electricity, it'll also allow you to build mining machines and so on. I like to put long range weapon on switch for the giants (should be 2 of them on wave 14) 🍻

awesome ty :) long range on a switch is something i want yea! i want a room to sit in with swithces for everything!!! i have been making trips into town to look for the books. hopefully i will get it soon so i can upgrade for another vid

Ok so how to you build the horde base before the time I am always running around tiring to get paper so i can learn a few thing then night come real quick and they destroy everything and my setting are peaceful?

oh man i know the first few days are a struggle to get anything up, just try to gather as much as u can for half the day and build other half.
