Super bright idea to bring back controller discussions, especially in today’s day and age. I do think personally that while input lag matters, it really starts to become player specific until you reaallly want to become super competitive, heads up for others reading this comment! :)

I use a F500 Flat for SF6. I switched the buttons for Sanwas, but the stock buttons weren't bad at all. I was surprised how sturdy it felt, and genuinely felt like I got a great product at a bargain price. I got it about six months ago and it's still going strong.

For those of you curious why there's a 2.4g option: When it comes to wireless, it will always be the best option. Not to say that bluetooth is not a great addition and should be expected at that price point. For the more serious players, wired is a must, but can't hurt to have options!

One thing that jumps out is that while the multi symbols for each button is nice, a small thing they could have added for next to nothing would be to color coordinate the input selector wheel names to correspond with the color matched input symbols on each button. It’s not hard to figure out as is, but would be a nice added touch. Green button inputs with a green “Xbox” input label, blue with PS button and input, red for Switch, etc.

Thanks for showing these, Justin. I've been skiddishly considering trying a stick for the upcoming MvC Collection, and the F700 seems like it might be a good place to start. $15/mo for 1 year, and I can send it back if I decide that stick isn't for me within a couple of weeks. The only things I can suggest to Mayflash to improve the F700 is to make the top panel open via latch like the Panthera/TE2 and to get rid of that weird 5 pin they use instead of the standardized one. Like they know people will swap levers but make them go an extra step in ordering connector cables for their new lever. Otherwise at $150, it's kind of ridiculous how much is packed into it. Sticks in the higher price range don't even support that many platforms or levers and don't have wireless support.

The F500 flat has been my goto since it launched, It's great. Only thing is the stock Mayflash buttons aren't the best, which is fine considering the price, they feel like sandy Sanwas while needing a bit more force. They work fine, especially if this is your first Stick/Leverless, but if you are used to Sanwas or more premium buttons, you will probably want to switch them out. I stuck some Gravity KS buttons in mine, and I love it.

Justin, I'd like to know what you think of the Haute42 M Series Plus Leverless Controllers and see if it would be something you'd prefer over the Razer Kitsune. I think that would be a nice comparison to look at. The M13 / M16 Plus look quite nice and are relatively affordable, in an arcade stick / leverless controller sense. And the Plus ones are just as large as the Kitsune, too.

I do not understand why hitbox buttons are always crammed in the middle of the board, I mean do you really need to play with your hands so close together?, Why don't they design the left hand buttons further form the right hand buttons? If anybody can give some insight on this I would really appreciate it. I think it would be more comfortable to play with your hands a bit further away.

The latency claims could only be there for people who can hit 1-frame precision already. And even that 1 frame is 1/60th of a second while a lot of these devices have a polling rate in microseconds. People play fighting games on regular wiresless controllers too that often have way worse polling rate than 2.4Ghz devices. I wouldn't use a wireless device at Evo finals because there is always a chance of interference, disconnect, etc. but for playing at home who cares? But #1 concern for any i put device should be comfort of use. If you can reliably finish a combo and not drop input it is way more important than latency.
