Is This The Best Gear For Bashing The 2022 Traxxas XO1-1?

In this our FIRST actual video we test out A Traxxas 6496X 24-t Pinion gear 5mm shaft on the newest Traxxas XO-1.
And find out if it’s any good for general use and speed bashing.
We speed test it, check the temps and give our final thoughts.

Cool video, wow 75mph with a 24 tooth pinion as well as ran "Mostly" cool, I have an XO-1 myself i named her Serena she was a originally a V1 but i converted her to a V2 in February of this year then put in a Castle MMX8s\1717 1,650kv sensored combo. She's currently apart for refurbishment since i drove her hard for a year right out of the box last run with her she started making lots of diff noise and she was running hot. The parts i ordered for her will hopefully be here tomorrow so i can get her refurbished and back into action soon.

Wow that’s awesome! Have you done a speed test to see what your current speed is? I would be very interested to see! Diff issues huh? That’s a bit ironic because someone just posted on another X0-1 video suggesting that I put 1M diff fluid in the diffs why making a couple of other adjustments. They said they had 3 X0-1’s and had spent a lot of time testing different things on them. Do you have a channel?

@@familyrc777 I have done some passes but never speed recorded them or videoed them. I have a channel but haven't recorded much in the way of my XO-1 i film an unboxing of mine when i first got her she was a brand new bare eBay rolling chassis. at the time i didn't want to deal with the stock electronics and i wanted to run my own setup in her.

Oh that’s awesome! What made you choose xo-1 over Arrma’s options? Being an owner of both and I love and baby my X0-1 , I picked up a used infraction v2 with an 8s system and it drives like an arrow. Stability between the two isn’t even close. If I could get my X0-1 to drive that that I will. Hopefully the 1M diff oil will help.

@@familyrc777 I just loved the XO-1 and wanted to buy one first before the Arrma's although for a long time i tossed around getting a Limitless, an Infraction or Felony but i'm leaning towards the limitless. I hope to make it happen this summer or fall it'll take awhile to save up for everything needed to make it go.

Can this be run on only a 3s lipo and jump the other connector or dose it has to be a 4s or two 3s battery's?

Wow great question! I actually thought it was 4s and 6s only. But I just checked for you and to my surprise, it can run a single 3s as well. Yes you will need a jumper plug for any single battery setups. But it will run a single 6s as well. Although I would recommend putting another 6s on the other side to balance the weight. I saw @Jaytee talk about that in a video.

@familyrc777 thanks so much man I appreciate u testing for me as I'm think of getting one but I don't want to run on 6s all the time or even 4s lol I still bet it can do 60mph on one 3s😆

No problem! Well I can find that out too! However Right now I have a 29 tooth in there. I would be curious to see how fast 3s is on a 29t. Should I do a short video of it on 3s on 29t?

I appreciate that! I have yet to run it on the high speed gearing! I don’t have a good area for those speeds yet. I can do them on 3s though lol.

Traxxas is a mediocre at best company who likes to steal innovations while simultaneously patenting what others invented. So far, Traxxas has sued Losi, Hobbico, HPI, Redcat, ARRMA, Maclan, Skulldugery, and probably more. This bully known as Traxxas has patented designs that they not only didn't invent, but have been used for years in the industry. The worst part? While Traxxas was suing for simple things like rubber o rings, double servos, or lay down shocks, Traxxas was stealing things like complete car design by TheJang's Chimera A (including the color scheme) and relabeling it a Telluride. Traxxas is a Texas lawyer with some cheap plastic products to sell you in order to kill the market with RTR's like they did HPI. They put the ASS in TraxxASS
