I did this trail in Sept 2023 on my custom build emtb. Without my ebike the climb would have been super hard form me (67 yrs old). It is an amazing ride and your video captured it really well.

That's awesome! I hope to continue to ride into my late 60s and even later, with or without an ebike, whatever it takes. Keep shredding

Incredible trail!! Ride in in mid wild flower bloom and it was beautiful! It’s soo much steeper than the go pro! I could smell my brakes at end of the bottom section! The creek at the end was raging at 4 feet deep! Scary as hell to cross!

Awesome video! Such a good and fun trail! Thank you so much for being patient and helping me out with that broken foot! I am going to order new brake pads now, before our next trip lol

You literally rode down with a broken foot by yourself, we provided only moral support. Strong AF. I'm also getting new brake pads from the PTSD haha

Beautiful! Wow, the aspens are losing their leaves already... it's only August! And August isn't fall yet ;-)

This is all old footage from last year in late September. Sorry, should have made a note of it. I hadn't been able to edit all this stuff. But yeah, absolutely beautiful.

We just did Crested Butte, LOVED IT, but didn't have time to do this. Looks amazing everyone said Dr Park and I didn't like it to much was wet and slippy. We want to go back there is so much to do. Great video thanks for sharing.

It's so good! Dr Park is a lot of fun, but I really think this is better. CO seems to always call us back.

Ricardo is too fast for me to keep up nowadays! Yeah man, definitely worth the trip, good memories from Outerbike a few years ago.

Thanks Brian! Always good to see a fellow creator around here. Its definitely worth the trip, if you enjoyed Vail and Eagle you'll love this.

Beautiful video. I'm going out that way next month. Not in shape to do any high altitude stuff like this, but will surely be riding Fruita/Horsethief areas. May hit some Vail downhill that i think you posted before. Thanks for the motivational material.

Happy you like the videos, but even happier you find it motivational to go out and ride more!

Who broke their ankle? Great video Stefano, thank you! It's a lot like my area of Utah in the fall. I have aspens in my yard :)

I am in the area now. Done the trail many times but not yet this year. Is the bottom area before you really start climbing under water?

I filmed this late season last year. Haven't been out there this year yet.

By the way you think that a bike with 120/120 travel is enough for trail or more travel is needed?
@DRSpalding3 жыл бұрын
Nice! Was it one of your riding partners who broke an ankle or was it someone you came across that needed help?
@BlindstuffMTB3 жыл бұрын
One of us. Unfortunate dumb crash, and thankfully it was a minor break, no surgery needed.

Man, great video, I did the 401 last year, question, is there any shuttle to the trail head? I am a very lazy climber. 🤘🏼
@BlindstuffMTB2 жыл бұрын
Not that I know of, but you can rent a ebike legally for this trail if you want. Also, 120 120 will do fine; as always, you'll just need to be a bit careful vs if you had more travel.

GOd, i lived in Montrose, 2 hours away, for 3 years and never rode this one. Shame.

Its worth making the trip from further away whenever you get the chance again.
