I really enjoy riding in FL, but you have to travel whenever you get the chance, it'll really broaden your perspective on MTB. There's tons of amazing riding in the southeast USA that's absolutely Worth it.

Thanks Scott! It was absolutely epic. For these trips I tend to pack quite a bit, I'd rather carry too much than too little, so I'd say most people would be comfortable with less. I don't carry this much stuff when I ride my local trails. Frame Bag (Modded Dakine Hot Laps Gripper): - Genuine Innovations Air Chuck Elite & 2 CO2 Cannisters - Park Tool TB-2 Tire Boots - Genuine Innovations Bacon strip tire plugs - Maxxis Ultralight Tube Backpack (Evoc FR Enduro 16L): - Lunch (usually a loaded sandwich) + Banana - Bars (Assorted, 3 or 4 different ones, rarely eat more than 2) - 3L of Water - Arcteryx Light Jacket + Marmot Rain Shell (For other rides like Mt. I'm so busy that I can only get out once in a while to do 4-5 miles and 500 ft elevation change at a park a few miles from my house (out here in Eagle Mountain, UT). I literally live through your vids most of the time, then go out and try to emulate a small amount of what I see you doing in large scale.

BTW could you please share 1) what is the GoPro version you are using (interesting to know whether it's a built-in stabilisation works so fine or it is the postproduction that makes the video so smooth) and 2) did you find this (and may be others) trail somewhere in the web or planned it all by yourself?

Couldn't agree more! Hope these new initiatives curb the issue and we get some more freedom to move around. Happy you enjoyed it. 1) Hero 7 on a chesty for the climbing sections. This is "just ok", doesn't work well enough for rougher riding. Hero 8 on the chinbar of my helmet for descending, the stabilization of the built in hero 8, plus attaching it to your head (which acts as a natural gimbal) is enough to get good video. I sometimes add stabilization in post, but did not in this video. 2) Lots of research on Trailforks + a little support from MTB project and then just web searches and youtube.

Great video . I just ( told my wife ) not asked that I plan to do this this June/July lol . Since I only live about 2.5 hours from here . Quick question : what time did you start and end ? I need to gauge my riding time and feel it will take me all day . But that won't hold me back from doing it !

Start early. We had a bunch of issues with our shuttle and only started at 11.30 am. Took 6 hours moving time, 8.5 total since we had a group member not feel well and split early into Breck. Give yourself time and make sure you are properly equipped

No good answer to this unfortunately. Your best option is to do a two car shuttle with a buddy. We used "Jakes mountain shuttle", it got the job done but wasn't very organized imo, I'd give him a call if you can't find anything else.

This a pretty big day on the bike. Beginner and out of shape are really relative words, so its hard to say definitely, but I'd caution you to start with some other rides around the area before tackling this. You can ride a portion of this if you access from Keystone for example.

@@BlindstuffMTB yeah I did a 17mile trip last year, alot of climbing, alot of edge stuff "Cliff Hanger" was one of the trail names. But im at sea level and the elevation would probably kill me 😅. Sounds challenging and I like challenging! I just don't like jumping !
