Is there any reason to get Aiarty now?

Good question. Aiarty works for mac (videoproc ai for mac is coming soon) and allows for 6x upscaling compared to 4x for Videoproc. If those advantages don’t matter then go with Videoproc as it gives similar results in my tests. Do trial them both to compare.

If you have a weak graphics card it will be several hours. Upscaling video seems to be a killer for computer resources! 😊

The software works reasonably well in some very specific scenarios but it is absolutely abysmal for old footage, not to mention that it will distort faces to a nightmare level when working on SD videos. Also their customer service is terrible and they won’t honor their 30 day money back policy.
