Man I am drooling over this bike. I have an S1000xr and a Duke 390. Took the touring bags off my BMW to see if I could save myself some money but I’m not sure it worked 😂 What do you think, would this be a good second bike to an S1000xr?
@KrishnenduKes Жыл бұрын
Interesting question. You see, I haven't ridden the XR in a while. Since 2019 I believe. And that is more like a sports touring kinda bike. The 890R is a streetfighter. Very different kinda motorcycle. I would suggest always, buy the motorcycle that rides superb and you have easy access to service and accessories.

Dealers offer the Ktm 890 R without full electronics control and does not come with the activated quckshifter compared to the Yamaha mt09 which comes fully equipped from the factory. I don't think I have to give an extra 1400 euros to get 3 extra hp and 5 Nm plus the full activation of the 890R Duke ktm electronics!

KTM reliability is pretty sketchy! The display on my 2021 Duke r when bad at 275 miles waited a month for a new one. Now at 3800 miles the cruise control has quit working! There is a month long wait to get into the shop! I have had Japanes bikes bought new and after 15 years have never been to the shop. Also I can't change my own oil because you can't reset the service default on the interment Custer! Only the dealer can reset it! This is total bullshit!
