I've used these mixers quite a bit, at summer camps, for our church rehearsals. Very flexible mixer. Although don't expect a reliable signal from the integrated router, I had constant dropouts when using it. It's also got alot of the same effects as the big boards really nice mixer. There is some noise on the inputs and outputs and it's to be expected from behringer.

Yeah, I definitely recommend using a separate network

Correction, It has 16 Designed by Midas inputs. It is not the same as the Midas inputs. Please keep this in mind when comparing the Midas version and the lower cost Behringer version. It is even silk-screened on the face, "Designed by Midas" on the front. However the Behringer version with lower cost components is still a respectable mixer. The components such as capacitors and ADC parts are not the same between the two brands.

Good distinction!

Funny enough the Midas version heats up real bad and I recommend hooking up and additional fan to the air intake.

Great Video! There's a reason this is consistently the top digital mixer on Thomann. I've got the XR18 in a 4U rack with a HA8000 headphone amp and a Furman M-10x E power conditioner. I also have 2 P16's to expand the mixes for band if I require. The reason I went with the HA8000 was so I wouldn't have to deal with batteries and could use either headphone extension cables or use the PM1 beltpacks. I then also mounted; a USB extender in the rack so I could send the USB out over 30m via Cat6 and 2 Cat Snakes so I could send 4 channels and return 4 channels (send: PC L&R, Talkback, Spare, Return: Phones L&R, Aux 5&6 for broadcast mix). I then have a 4 way Cat6 reel (using Expandable Braided Sleeving) for; the 2 Cat Snake Feeds, the USB extender and the "Remote" out for connecting to a router for control via a PC via X-Edit or the X-Air App on phone/tablet.

I would advise you the Sound craft ui16 or zu 24. They are unbelievably good for the price, and you could give the iPad everyone to mix as it's very intuitive and fast and still you can do everything you need on that small thing. I would prefer the Soundcraft over the Behringer.

We've been real happy with this one, but I'm sure the soundcraft is awesome too!

Behringer makes some good stuff! Learned how to mix sound on a X32 rack and sound board. What’s cool is Berhinger actually owns Midas (more premium brand), which give you nice software and preamp support from Midas. It’s basically all the sound board 99% or churches, and this little guy is no different!

The main problem I have with Behringer’s series of mixers is the iPad software. It’s buggy, non intuitive, and laggy. I’ve tried most of them at this point, and the one that is far above all of them is Mackie’s master fader. Solid, easy to use, intuitive, the best one I’ve used.

Oh interesting, I haven't really had those same issues. But I'm glad you've found one that works for you!

So, the church I go to has an older hyperdeck studio 2 kicking around and we currently use an ATEM mini extereme ISO for our recordings (though we don't need all the camera inputs it has right now) How would one add one into their workflow for playback? I was thinking of moving all the video assets from an older version of resolume due to some sync issues we've had and just simplifying what station is doing what. Heck, some of the automation for it would be great with triggers and what have you.

I have never really been a fan of the modern Midas preamps. I think they sound flat and thin compared to other mixers in the same range. I prefer the Presonus Xmax preamps in the Studiolive rack mixers.
