You can hide them quite easily too , for sit-down interviews . 14mm carpentry plastic seals of various colors , used for hiding screw tops in furniture making ,will cover the small magnet .

I'm loving the Fulaim X5 set. Records audio to the transmitter/mic - as well as bluetooth. Comes with a little round black magnet - so you pop the transmitter/mic under your shirt (or whatever) and you only see this little round black dot on your garment. I don't like seeing audio company logos or flashing record lights on clothing.

They still look like much larger transmitters than these tiny 9g round ones.
@elementary89639 ай бұрын
@@carlyates2487 You missed my point. You place the transmitter under clothing - and all you see is a tiny 1cm black dot (the magnet) on clothing. Plus you get the convenience of a backup recording on the transmitter itself - which is handy as all bluetooth audio products have drop outs from time to time.

@@elementary8963 But you still have a larger transmitter weighing down the clothing and causing a lump under their clothes. You can also have these underneath clothing exactly like that and they will work better in my opinon because of the shape and weight. The backup recording is useful though.

I also have an X5 and love it. I often mount it underneath my t-shirt as described.

Will this be considered as an upgrade if currently you have the DJI mic v1?

Does the USB-C charging port on the transmitter support data transfer? Specifically, can I connect an external recording drive to it instead of a power bank?

No, you cannot.

@@BrandonHullDo you know if the usbc port on the smartphone transmitters can be used to connect headphones to monitor audio when recording?. Thanks.

@@Victor60824 I don't have USB-C headphones to test, but I imagine no because those ports I believe are dedicated to charging.

I went with the DJI Mic 2 because of this "DJI releases new DJI Mic 2 hot shoe adapter for Sony cameras" as a Sony user it connected right to the hot shoe NO Cable!

That is super useful. When I was shooting Sony I had one of their B1M mics that did that.

We recently got a new device and discovered a secret way to record with it. We use a camera transponder connected to the phone via USB-C. It works great and clips onto the side or fits in a pocket. However, the USB-C connection doesn't fit with my phone case on, and I dislike having to remove the case because I'm worried about dropping the phone.

Fulaim have brought out a look-a-like alternative, the X3. About the only difference is the deadcats which are much smaller but magnetic. I look forward to reviews in due course.

Can you recommend microphone for live streaming but multiple guests interview about 5 yo 6 people
@Victor608244 ай бұрын
Saramonic 500 B4 or something like that. Works well and it is up to 4 people wired at the same time. Also Comica brand has something similar.

given the size, and improvements with AI (adobe). im curious if fast paced indie narrative work could use this and than just vfx track it out of the final edit with ease
@carlyates24879 ай бұрын
Absolutely they could. However wouldn't it just be easier to use a mic which you can hide?

I heard the Hollyland m2 gives HIFI quality sound. Is this true? Does it give a much better sound than the microphone of your telephone? I 'm looking for a microphone to record myself while playing flute.
