I have a ugreen clip on mount. It's great, very secure. It clips on the top and side of the display. Can be used for RHD and LHD.

Yes it does I’ve checked. Just don’t change the orientation with it mounted!

My thoughts are the phone mounts would not be needed if Tesla had Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

Yup agreed but if Tesla had phone projection then no one would subscribe to Premium Connectivity 😅

maybe I'm misunderstanding as well. I'll ask a different question - Why do tesla owners need a phone mount at all? If Tesla navigation is being used, then the phone is not needed. I mean, it has handsfree talking already. And if you really want to use your phone for navigation, then why have a Tesla? LOL

@@cheesun124 If Waze was integrated with the Tesla ecosystem, I wouldn’t use a phone mount at all. Same way I don’t use a phone mount with any other EV I’ve tested and driven because of built in phone projection lol

@tehtron do a search for "ugreen Car Phone Holder for Tesla MagSafe" I went through 3 suction mounts, all failed. The ugreen clips of the edge of the display. Very firm grip. I've gone over serval potholes, It worked flawlessly.
