The thing I would love if I ever get this is when I’m playing onward and trying to use the sniper with a 12x scope and it makes me go prone so I can be somewhat stable so this would solve that.

Great comprehensive review.. the protube is a really excellent stock… so much so I use one as my backup my real competition stock(Bowkstock). Its also a great stock to have when introducing new players to VR shooters cause ya can run the straps and not worry about em throwing your controller. Also nice as travel stock cause it folds up into a nice little square for packing.👍

reloading is awful though always banging the cups because there so much bigger, can make you slower than without too. but there the only downsides, its also not anything about it felling like you have a rifle but it does its about maintaining that perfect balance you cant get that by free hand even virtual stocks dont cut it. beforee when playing ghosts of tabor i would empty a clip and i might hit a shot or two with this setup i hit 90% of my shots now and only had it 5 days it feels like im cheating sometimes 🤣😂

The main difference between the mamut and the Protube Pro straps is that you can connect the Pro straps to the magnetic cups of a Protube giving you even more stability and control, but also the Prostraps have a wide felt strap that covers most of your hand, where as other straps have more of a thin strip of material. Now I cant speak to the quality of the mamut straps but Protubes are so solid and high quality. Thsts the best opinion I can't offer Damian hope it helps 😀👍

Yeah unfortunately like I say in the video your paying for the quality and where ever you are or whatever your buying quality costs :/ I think of it as an investment because it can be adjusted to any game its basically future proof for VR shooters and its not going to break so at least it'll last :) Thanks so much for the kind words it means alot especially if you've been looking around so much for gunstocks. What to buy depends on your preference Tom just narrow down if you want controllers on top or bottom of the stock, your budget and if you want the stock to look realistic or not. Get answers to those three questions that should really narrow down the search 👍😀

It great for aiming keeps you nice and steady, when it comes to this and the MK3 the adaptation of the Protube and the realism of the MK3 are really the only difference, I didn't feel I was more or less accurate with either, hope this helps!

I do explain in the video why I think this but I'll give you the cliff notes, the 1st thing for me personally is that the ProTube needs less space to use witch is helpful as the room where I play vr is not big at all, the other factor is the adjustability, some games don't let you change controller offset or line up the same as a different game. With the Protube you can adjust it for ANY game if if that game dosnt have gunstock settings, it's versatility is where its advantage lies, it mean I can be comfortable in any game any time. There's nothing wrong with the MIII it's the peak of realistic gunstocks for VR and its amazing, the Protube just fits my living situation and the fact I play ALOT of VR shooters some in such early stages gun stocks havnt even been though of yet. So I can still use the Protube regardless. Thats about it really, if you have room to use the MIII you go and have fun sir! 😀👍

I'll see how I get on with it..I may still consider the protube forcetube longer term for the extra haptic feedback (as it's more inconvenient though still highly immersive to put on the bhaptics gear) but the forcetube is very expensive of course.. need to get my money's worth out of the mkiii first

The ProTube is more about being able to adjust height and the angle or the butt of the stock on the fly or before playing as well as moving the controller positions forward backward and side to side, but you should get your fill of the MKIII its amazing and can't be beat on realistic feel and fun 😀👍

This! Iv never had issues when reloading with the Quest 2 controllers hitting the stock, its super easy to find the magnets, what really tipped it for me is the size of the butt, its pretty huge so makes positioning really easy, but also that adjustability, you can use this in ANY VR shooter because it can be adjusted to it that means the money you spend on this makes it useable in ANY game with a rifle 👍

Hey Joe St. Louis Right now I do prefer it, the space saving is great with the lack of foregrip and barrel and i can adjust it to any game any time thats a total win to me. VR systems is solid as hell, as realistic as it gets and so well done but it can be iffy with some weapons in some games where as the ProTube doesn't have that issue. Also there is price to consider aswell

Ah yes I see what you mean now, in regards to 13:05 I was holding it that way because of how the Quests used to capture footage, they would only record from the left eye so I needed to angle my weapon like that so it looked central when recording, fortunately that has changed now so that's good 😀 Iv had a VRSMKIII and didn't experience an angle problem like this, maybe you need to place the holders at a different angle on your controller ring? If you still run into trouble I would just contact VRS they are super friendly and helpful 👍😀

Adjusting the grip position and angle with an allen wrench doesn't seem that convenient - I found a Gunstock on Etsy that uses plastic nuts grips (with metal inserts) instead you can turn with your hand and even adjust it while in a game with your headset on to making lining it up easier in Onward (like you said Contractors has very good built in calibration) - otherwise enjoyed the Vid and the ProTube looks to be good quality and decent price

Hey Bam Boo! Screenshot? Maybe not 🤷🏻‍♂️ Except the screenshot of the stock with controllers in I displayed from the website with the various colour customisation combinations. But video theres a fair bit, me holding it up in the beginning and end to show it, the 'showcase' with lots of shots with the controllers in the stock and of course the footage of me useing it while playing, witch is a bit zoomed in sure but thats a space issue in my house I'm afraid. 😕 So let's at least be fair and not say none of the controllers in the stock 👍😀

Hey Travis I did a video on the MKIII actually and I loved it!! The ProTube just has advantages the MKIII doesn't in functionality, but there's nothing wrong with the MKIII and when it comes to looks there's none better 😀

It makes a change if I'm honest, 90% of gun stock makers and manufacturers are in the US so its about time we had something 😜 Though now there's inport taxes for the UK from Europe aswell I'd say we are the most screwed 😂😂

I think they have a good standing in the US to be fair, you see US teams in the VR master league useing them all the time 👍 But I get your point not being based all over will mean they miss out, maybe expansion in the future? 🤷🏻‍♂️ For now there's only 14 people working there so I'll let it slide 😂
