Wow this is much needed content! We need more of this. I have been training myself blindfold for a while but it's hard because the most basic lessons on youtube are more advanced than this! Thank you :) I feel like it should be possible to make many of these videos. That would be awesome.

@@hannahsayce1 Yes, it's hard work but I totally relate to what the dude from the vid said... After a blindfold session suddenly there is seemingly unrelated harmony in your position... suddenly a knight is defending everything and holding everything together, like you happen to identify some genius defensive resource completely by accident 2 moves after you play it and you're like whaaat?... Atleast my experience

POGGIES! I liked the choice of Personality Test questions. Somehow, I managed to get a score just in the Visual Thinker.😅 The blindfold exercises were quite fun and tricky to attempt, especially the last one. Great job by adding in a chessboard and questions along with them! It made it super easy to follow along. :) Keep up the spectacular work!

Thankyou so much! I am so glad that you enjoyed it. I was surprised that I was a visual thinker as well :D. I agree, the exercises were fun and well put together, so big thanks to Aiden for sharing all his work with us :))).

Super interresting video hannah! I’ve recently gotten back into Chess and started to solve mate in 3 blindfolded. I love seeing people do actual training - instead of talking about doing it…. Maybe you could consider making other videos about your training? Like actual analysis, actual opening study, actual endgame study etc…

That was a FANTASTIC video Hannah! I felt like I got a free coaching session too and the way it's broken down to learn is wonderful! Now I'm very interested in learning this way! Thanks for the awesome content and keep up the great work 👍👏

looking at the board of course its INSTANT recognition, which means my calculation is chunking the memory of this mate in a way that isn't accessible to my visual processing when blindfolded I wonder if playing ONLY blindfold chess for a few weeks or something would connect these memories better, as after calculating more than 2 moves or so, we're essentially playing blindfolded in a new board position, so probably its important to calculate in that mode @aiden - would love to see a study of if people improved more playing only blindfold chess for some period, or a mix of both (btw perhaps you should link to aiden/his site in the video description - I know it's in the video itself, but having the link is good for google linking magic for both you and him)

I think it would definitely be cool to run an experiment of sorts i.e. only training with blindfold chess for a set amount of time, and see how it goes! And thanks Seth, I'll add the link to the video :D

zdravo hanna, svaki dan igras sah, imas svoj strim bla bla, i tako usavrsavas svoju ihru. medjutim ti si fm verovatno. trenirati sah redovno je svakako dobro ali prihvati i odmor isto kao deo treninga. videces rezultate. ja cu te redovno pratiti i da igras neku drugu igricu ili bilo sta slicno.

I had been doing my own research on a similar topic. I have very high pattern recognition in photography, music, etc (I'm a polymath) and was trying to figure out how to leverage that in Chess. I haven't really felt like I've been getting the most out of my own skillset. I'm a career sports gambler so figuring out how to get the most out of my talents, and improving my visualization skills are of critical importance. @@hannahsayce1
